Chris,
Good to hear you are getting the problems identified and sorted.
G/M Scottie yes hope im gettin there but dreadin tryin to remove that prop shaft as its got to slide out of the outer tube thats built into the hull an thats a job for today but im tryin to not let it beat me as all the guys have been sayin its just like the real ship as they all have probs but im not used to this oh dear

Still some issues Chris but they are straightforward so I'm sure they will be easy to fix. Fingers crossed for you.
MANY Thanks Jim but im not so sure as that prop shaft may be a bugger to remove an ive also got to drill out that failed led in one of the main gun barrles an ive got to remember to swop round the R/C leads on them two ESC's as if a 40 amp fuse blows she will be dead in the water like last time she sailed but thinkin the problem through im goin to have the R/X fed by the outer motors ESC FEED an if that prop prob comes back an blows the 40 amp fuse then the other ESC will still have power to the outer motors to get her back in to the pond side i hope this is understanable to you sir

HI GUYS
well yesterday took Tiger up for her forth sail an it was a beautifull day nice an warm but not as hot as last time an the modifications i have made to Tiger seemed to have worked very well as she was sailin great an she sailed near the lenght of the pond just great an did not blow them 40 amp fuses so great i thought she's a success but then something strange happend i noticed that when sailing ahead the outer props went into full astern while the rear props kept goin ahead an i was practically pullin my hair out now whats wrong i thought an all i can think of is one of them ESC is playin up as i first thought it might be the R/X given the ESC false signals so i fitted a new spare R/X

AN then treid her again an yes she's goin great really good propwash very powerfull an she surgerd ahead an was sailing great an i gave her some full head flank speed an she sailed again the lenght of the pond an back an pond is 600ft so 10200 ft sail an i was very pleased but then to my amazement it did the props ahead an outer props in astern AGAIN SO right today im goin to remove that ESC that works the outer motors an have all 4 motors goin through just ONE ESC an it should be able to take the power current load as its rated at 320 AMPS an also i think i need to fit in a bigger one qauter scale heavy duty big servo to work the rudder an stablilizers as she dint answer the helm properly when under ahead forword so more cost buyin one of them but i think im gettin her right its just the gremlins to get rid of as i was very pleased at how she sailed as she was faster than walkin speed an i had to run a bit to keep up with her when sailin ahead so im gettin there slowy an not givin up its just a matter of getting it all right OH DEAR an some pics of the day below in a a little while as i have to resize the pics firstly

Chris,
intermittent faults ! Absolute nightmare! Bad enough with mechanical bits, but electronics? Sad thing that most of these soild state parts can't be repaired. Good luck with the detective work.........

HI Dave yes it turning into a nightmare alright an yes thanks i'll need the luck as you say these new gadgets like these new ESC are all sealed an they cannot be ajusted like i could on the old ELETRONISE ESC an they were very good but they cant be bought now as the gent who ran the bussiness dint sell it for someone eles to carry it on as he just closed it down what a collossal waste of knowalegde an exspertice an so far now every time i take Tiger to the pond something different happens crazy an'it but well onward an upward as they say an thanks Dave for your comment cheers

You are not having a lot of luck with this one Chris.
How are the ESC's wired to the receiver? Are they running on each their own channel or are they paired.
Just a thought but how does she sail with just the two outermost or just the two innermost motors?

HI Ian thats an understament of the year that is no im not but i have never used this Blas*ted BECC system before as ive now heard yesterday from the guys up the pond yes this BECC system work ok on single or twin motors in a boat but this system can be finicy when its mounted in a multi engined ship like Tiger is so i think this may be my prob an the ESC 's are wired up in a pair to one VIA a two into one lead channell in the R/X an yes i have removed one red wire from one plug an to TBH Ian i just dint think of doin that of unplugin one ESC an tryin it DURR lol i should have done pity i dint think of it but i had so many people all round the ship yeterday some public persons an other all tryin to give me help an it get a little overwelming an i cant think straight SO YES I SHOULD HAVE TREID THAT BUT I KNOW ITS THE ESC THAT WORKIN THE OUTER PROPS SO THATS THE ONE I WILL REMOVE an cheers for your thoughts on what i should have done Aaaarrrrrccchhh but to late now got to wait till next year now before i can try her again oh dear
CHREERS Ian

Chris, I hope you will sort those gremlins out soon. Your efforts deserve a fully successful sail.
From what you say I argue the only out of scale detail of your Tiger is the speed (considering you had to follow her almost running, I guesstimated a 1/1 scale speed of more than 100 kn!) :nerd: ;)

AN HI Andy yes it proberly was but when i build a model its got to be treid out at flank speed as the wind can be very strong blowin accross the pond as its all open so no good havin it run slow at nr scale speed as if windy she would be all over the place an proberly hitting others boats an they would not be very happy would they to say the least an like my BIG NIMTZ carrier she sailed great as it dint have this BECC system fitted in but after 3yrs of sailin on the pond she chalked up running over 5 yaghts an one sub that got in her way as it took NEAR 20 ft to stop her an MY Tiger is just as bad as she wheighs in at 88 bls so she wont stop on a sixpence but when ive remodifed her with takin out the what i think bad ESC an fittin in HEAVY DUTY SERVO to work the RUDDER an stabs then i maybe on a winner but wont know till next year im afraid as i darent sail TIGER on sheringham pond as the water is very high an TIGER is a very big high model an the pond has a concrete over hang so if the model get blown into the pond edges it will smash all the masts an i dont want that to happen as i have enough to be goin on with now
cheers Andy for your thought on the subject

Sounds like a great success with just one little issue to sort. I'm so glad that at last you're almost there.
