an front veiw of that main undercart an here now the undercart doors are fitted an boy i was near a nervous wreck by the time i did these as they were pretty fragile as i got the shakes the harder i treid the worst they got

an here im now about to fit the fusealage to the main wings an there was tiny holes for it to fit but it was a devil to fit as over time the fusealarge had folded inwards so not fit the postining hole in the wings so a bit of a job but got over it by fitting one side down then when glued i streched the fuso out to meet the other holes an carefully glue down an boy was i sweating doin this but sucsees

Great progress chris , shes a big old bird isnt she ? The massive one piece moulding of the wing top is prone to a bit of warping but you look to have sorted it no problem .
an here the fusealarge elertrics that plug into the tail plug to work all the fusealarg lights an undercarrt lights an this is a big model so more wireing to be fitted to take the power to the front undercart an cockpit an strobe flashing lights

HI Tony yes she is but im enjoyin this build far better than the hornet yes i near had a heart attak when tryin to pull out the fusealarge as there was a bit of a crackin sound but ive looked inside down the fusealarge an it all looks ok to me an soon ive got to fit them big wings togeather an hope they line up ok as its ok dryfitting them isnt it but when glueing if im a bit out on them wings then im in trouble an TONY DID YOUR WING GO OK WHEN YOU BUILT YOURS ?

Great work Chris, progressing very nicely. The landing gear looks intricate, well done. I see they even had you paint the red snubbers for the tyres, a nice little bit of detail.
Wait, that's NOT a WASP interceptor?
Some people say old kits aren't worth the trouble. But adding all the bells, whistles and LIGHTS (wow!) is what modelling is all about!

HI Tony yes thats what im goin to do an have the unbonded bottle ready in case of a line up prob an cheers for that link to the B58 an i enjoyed reading an watching that vid of how the undercarts all folded up amazed me that it all worked ok about the hustler she was scrapped way before her time only 10 yrs service what a pity

HI Joe thank you sir for your nice comments on my work as yes that landing gear was a triail an had me scrachting my head loads of time to see how it went together from poor pics on the real plane an yes very intricate an fragile as i was worrying about breaking anything off as yes this was a nicely detailed undercart but wont want to try anything like them again an tony ( yakface ) warned me about them before i started the build as just as well he did as it made me to be more carefull an try an do difficult dry fits an yes i thought thats what they were for but dint know they were called snubbers but they were fitted to stop the main tyres spinning in the bay wernt they an cheers sir for that bit of info as i would imgine the wheels would be spinning like hell on take off for such a big plane as i never thought about that on all planes i suppose

HI Steve no not an angel im afraid but more of a bringer of mega death if she had to drop her 5 nukes which im bloomin glad dint happen but we came close to it in the cuban missle crisis only 2 second away from nuke war but thank god they turned the ship back from the US blockade due we'd all be exstink decades ago an yes i love adding all the bells an whistles an lights like you say sir as i think it brings the model to life an not just static thats just my opinion an she should look good when she is finished an lit up an yes im not fond of old model but so far this kit is a bit complex but not a bad fit but im dreading fitting them two big wings togeather but will do as tony says glue one side at a time an then see if all ok to glue the other side as its a big wing area an yes them undercarts gave me the screamin memmesie lol an several headacke tabs

HELLO CHAPS well im now fittin in the office an front undercart into the front fusealarge part an it fits lovely considering on how old the kit is about 60 yrs old 
AN i dont know if it will be worth all the effort of fitting firbe optics in the instrument panel to bring a bit of colour to it but well ive done it so far but just got to trim up the f/o so they are level an then just paint on them the tamyia clear colour paints so when i fit the big 5 mm white led in place hopefully it should shine up the f/o to show up in the instrument panel
AN HERE they are attached to the office all ready for the big 5 mm white ultra bright led just hope this works but if not then at least i can say i tried

All coming on well. Some of that wiring looks Oh so complicated.
THANKS Jim but its not really quite easy to work out the hard wirein is in the main fusealarge as thats where a problem will be if there is one
