On a lighter note how are your pets on this bonfire night this is one of my four moggies all doing the same thing sleeping right through it.
This is rolo.IMG_20221105_191326.jpg

Our tabby lady Dorothy (Dotty to her friends) was a bit spooked, but is now asleep on the back of the settee. Good job there is only one family around here that sets them off though.

Our dog is fine pricks his ears up now and then other than that not bothered strangely its thunder he doesn't like ,all of our cat have sadly passed on but they would sit together outside and watch it all strange creature's. D

Our 4 moggies are ok, lights on and music (classic fm ) to try to drown out the bangs.

Hi Lordship is fast asleep on 'his chair', he claimed it and woe-be-it if anybody tries to sit on it.

Our cats are fine. We live in West London, so I think they got used to them after the week long Diwali fireworks that went on until 3am evey night.

Not bonfire night here, bonfires are more a summer thing, but we do fireworks for Halloween.
My dog watches them and my cat hides for a bit but quickly comes around.

WELL THERE are no F/W around here as there are only two house for miles an lilley is a sleep in our bed as she is a house cat an never goes out as we have a main rd only about 20 ft away so she stays in

New years is the fireworks night here in Denmark. Our cat watches them them from the window.
We are right out in the countryside though so not to bad

Our Millie is scared. She thinks the only safe place in the house is the second step down from the top.

Clyde was on the sofa and slept right through it all. Bonnie was out and about and given her nosiness was probably asking the neighbours if she could let off a firework or two! She's back safe and sound and has just had her late supper and b******d off out again.

Normally it's bad here, but for some unknown reason last night the local family who have a display of rockets didn't. Being slightly deaf also helps when some moronic idiot sets a banger off late at night .
It's about time fireworks were only allowed to be used by licenced operators at displays .

My tropical fish are absolutely fine - they're clearly hard as nails!

Too true John

Most fireworks are just explosives, no display just a bang, get them banded

The kittens were not happy even with the TV quite loud and Classic FM on in the hallway as background to try and balance some of the noise.
They alternate between looking out of the patio doors at the light show, then jumping all claws out onto to your lap for comfort!
its their first year, but the oldies aren't too happy as the house 3 doors down, not only having a bonfire burning building waste, the smell of burning plastic is quite strong, had some of 49 tube boxed bomb launchers.
3 minutes of very loud bang, bang, bang, bang.......................
Its not unexpected as they regularly use, test their range of industrial steam cleaners, usually all afternoon over the weekend.
Very loud and after a full none stop hour, very irritating, but they must have a really clean back yard!
Its a rented house and the occupants do change every year or so.
Otherwise Devali wasn't as bad, but still noisy and on school nights and after 9pm too.
We used to go to organised bonfire/firework shows years ago, but there aren't that many and they tend to be tied to events which make the cost high and if you aren't into speedway or monster trucks, a little uninviting!
Hopefully it will be quiet tonight, though I doubt it!
Roll on Nov 7th LOL

I’ve got a cairn terrier, usually shaking like a leaf on bonfire night. But he’s 13 now and tone deaf have no problems anymore.

well I spent most of Saturday building the towns bonfire with a telly handler it all went well Charlie our collie dog was a bit spooked and spent the night under my desk Louie the cat was not disturbed at all seems nothing bothers him unless your sleeping in his bed!! or he wants feed (I want to be a cat) local kids didn't seem to bother letting many random ones off.
