Brian's Caldercraft 1/72 HMS Victory

Brian

When I made masts and spars I just chucked the dowel into an electric drill and held the end with sandpaper as it spun. This takes a little while but it is very effective. You need to wear some gloves to hold the sandpaper as it tends to get a bit warm.

John I would need to buy a new drill as my current drill chuck only takes up to 10mm dia and the dowel is 13mm. I think I have solved the issue I returned the sander and bought another lathe which takes up to 400mm point to point.

LOVELY job Bri my freind AN your vicktory is ending up as good as my long gone freind who built this fab model brilliant work

Ouch ! I've ripped all the front off the Victory I wasn't happy with it so I have ordered a new front from John at Caldercraft should be here Wed/Thurs.
