Had a bit of bad luck and misplaced / lost some hammock cranes 10 in total I have no idea where they went and have had my model room upside down looking with no luck :( so on to the anchors while I wait for replacements update to follow

More great work Brian.

Below is some reference material that you may find useful.

These images come from a book called The Young Sea Officer's Sheet Anchor. Originally published in 1760 and updated in 1819. You can get reproduction editions of this original book as in this image.

Check it out on Amazon etc. I found it to be the most useful thing for everything concerned with rigging and even sailing a three masted ship.

Finished the hull apart from a few small jobs. was the hammock cranes loaded just for battle or all the time ? the reason I'm asking is I'm struggling to find 100% cotton tulle for a reasonable price.

Great job on the anchor ring puddening. Hammocks were always brought up but of course when not in battle only half would be in the cranes since only one watch would be active.

John

You could check in an art store for raw artist's canvas, that might be less expensive.

Thanks John will have a hunt for some less expensive stuff :)

Question for those in the know are the deadeys/blocks painted black ? I said I was going to start the foremast but got side tracked on the bowsprit :)

Did a few hours today, I must say the instructions for the mast are p*ss poor but muddleing through.

For the people in the know I'm just checking that it all looks right before I glue it all together ! as the plans/blueprints are as I said before very poor and unclear.
