Morning, first attempt went ok ish but not happy with the first coat, some slight bleeding occurred so I will give it a light sand and re-do the masking with better tape then re-paint, It's got to be right

That’s interesting. Finish has come out well.
However, the more I think about it, I wonder how long it lasted in service? It certainly wouldn’t have the adhesion and toughness of modern paints, and there would be no way to repaint her unless she was either heeled right over (difficult I would think) or taken back out of the water. Friction would be expected to quickly erode the paint during sailing as well. Looks good though

First coat of off white went on nice, second coat to go on today then a clear varnish to protect it, then back to building

Did an hour this morning on the channels but not feeling too good, so not a lot done (I hate getting old).
