Right boys and girls, I need a bit of advice. Wednesday night is cocktail night over here. And for a reason not worth explaining, I've got Campari. Well it looks nice, but it's awful, So, how can it turn Campari into something drinkable ?

The only one I can remember is Campari and Soda, but god knows what it tastes like...sorry

Pour it down the sink and buy a bottle of white rum perhaps ... ?

I didn’t know it was still for sale :surprised: Sorry, never tried it!

P'raps you could use it to start your barbie? Maybe the fumes will add a little je ne sais quoi to the taste of the food!

Have you tried gurgling it on the web, let's say using "cocktails made with Campari" as search words? If you get no results, you could always pour it in the gas tank to drive down to the store and buy something better for Wednesday..............

That was its use at parties in the seventies wasn’t it….getting your Barbie started……

A favourite of mine is Campari and Um Bongo - a Campongo .;):smiling5: Seriously though something like fresh orange juice or a sweetened fruit drink like Ribena etc shouldn't clash and will hopefully mask most of the rank flavour of the Campari ! it might even work ! If all else fails open a can of Red bull, get a shot glass and a large tumbler and make a Campari equivalent of a Jaegerbomb . You’ll be the toast of the neighborhood ( or a total outcast ):smiling5:

Ah,Campari eh?!!....
..... Luckily,i know a little bit about it....:thumb2:....
..... a LOT of people i knew in my early years LOVED the stuff and mixed it with so many other elements, for quite a period of time:smiling:....
,,,,,, however,i can`t ask them exactly what they mixed the stuff with.......
.... as they ALL died shortly afterwards?!!:astonished:;):tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:

Didn't the advert say Campari and soda if I remember right.

Did the advert feature Lorraine Chase and Luton Airport - or am I misremembering?

............. Chuck in what you want mate..... It`ll be fine!!;):thumb2::tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:

This :tears-of-joy: looks a winner Colin. Nice & refreshing. Can I come around PLEASE :tongue-out:

The Campari spritz is bitter and bubbly: a refreshing mixed drink for sipping! Make this easy cocktail with 3 ingredients in 3 minutes.

Need a light mixed drink? Try the Campari spritz! Bitter and bubbly, this cocktail mixes that popular aperitif with sparkling wine and soda water. What could be more refreshing? Campari is bitter-forward, so this cocktail is a drink is made for Campari lovers. It’s a nice change from the Negroni or Americano. Here’s how to make it! (If you don’t love bitter flavors, we’d recommend the Aperol spritz instead.)

I have, but was hoping for some personal recommendations.

You've obviously tried Campari Tony, and have a clear grasp of the problem I'm facing. It is awful. But it's mine !

Not exactly one for me but there must be some people who like it.
No it's not for me either, however, on the link you provided, thank you, is a Jungle bird - that might be the one.

Probably find it strips acrylic paint at 10 metres
I'm having trouble believing it's actually a drink.

Did the advert feature Lorraine Chase and Luton Airport
I remember that, I must have been about 8 years old.

Thank you Laurie.

Thank you all for your input. There's two strong contenders here. I'm obviously going to have to do a dry run first- dry, not likely. Good job i'm on leave next week.

You could make it into a Molotov Cocktail.........

Forget I said That! JR is watching!:anguished:
