So, here we go. The Revell Frameable Box-top SE.5A from umpty-ump years ago
This depicts a 'plane operating with the Royal Aircraft Establishment displayed at Hendon in 1922/23. The scheme is from a twenty year-old SAM article on 'Early RAF Aerobatic Teams'

On behalf of myself, and nobody else, I would like to thank the esteemed members of the Committee

That is a great result Chris. Never seen a silver one but then I have not looked to hard. lol
That you have done the full rig is a success in its self. I have build the same aircraft in 1/48 and found that a challenge!

Well done dude!

Beautiful.

Any chance of some sort of scale picture 'cos that must be tiny in 1/72?

Outstanding work Chris.
Many thanks for joining in and making this GB possible.

That's a great result Chris. The rigging is certainly intricate and fiddly but is the icing on the cake.

Many thanks everyone for your appreciation. Feedback is always welcome, as I'm always saying on eBay

So, a request for scale pics? Sorted!

And, as I managed to cover up the scale on the box...IMG_2599.JPG
For those of you not having followed the build thread, the paint is all rattle can Humbrol acrylic; Silver for the bodywork, Chrome Silver for the polished metal. metal. Rigging is 0.020 steel wire, markings are Xtradecal

BTW, this is the only silver RAF SE.5A I've ever found reference to, but apparently the Australians flew a whole squadron just post the Great War while awaiting newer types. I believe there are even transfer sets available for them

Brilliant Chris.

That would be mighty fine work in any scale but at that size, bravo!

Gents, you are all too kind
And just this morning I realised I left off the 'Lift Here' and arrow markings off the side of the fuselage...
So I've drawn them in, with a 0.1mm fineliner because why not
IMG_2609.JPG
might redo them a bit straighter...

Great job chris , turned out excellent . The old Revell kits with their frameable box art are pure nostalgia , cheers tony

So, I've just noticed on the tail close-up, one of the rudder control rods has gone astray, so...
