Here's my finished contribution to Ian's Helicopter G.B. It's the Italeri 1/72 Apache. I've made the Israeli version rather than the usual U.S. Green.

Brush painted with Vallejo Model Air Acrylics. The base is simply crushed stones and silicone 'water'. The rotor blades are made from thin plastic sheet.

....and yes I know there is a wonky rotor blade!

Despite the errors and omissions, I enjoyed trying to create a flying 8" lump of plastic.

Ron

Very well presented. I particularly like the sun set shots. The water ripple effect of the blades has worked well. Glad you enjoyed the project and thanks for sharing

Thanks for your positive and complimentary posts, chaps. I appreciate them all.

Tony - Levitate? Nah, no trickery.........What the eye can't see, and all that nonsense...

Thanks again.

Thanks Pete and John.

John - I just coated the base with silicone where I thought the down draft would be, then quickly flicked the stuff about with a nail to varying degrees of agitation.

Cheers.
