I did a Do217N a few years back using this kit with a Koster conversion, since then I always wanted to do the out of box E-5 version. I finally hooked one off evil bay and got busy. I finished it with Model Master enamels and topcoated with Testors Dullcote. This kit has been reviewed a blue million times by more skilled Modelers than myself so I wo'nt bore everyone with a rehash. I will reinforce that if you build this kit ,much like the Dragon Ju-88 series, glue the wingtip ends to the main wing parts then glue the halves together to avoid an ugly step.

thanks for looking cheers Trey

Simply stunning trey!  Beautifully built , painted and weathered. The lead staining on the upper wings is fantastic. Another kit thats just added itself to my ' look out for ' list !!! Cheers tony

Very nice and a great result. I bet that painted 'squiggle' sent you cross eyed.

This is just stunning trey truly a work of master building at its best ( and then some )

i remember I had a simulat Do17 ( pencil I think it was called ) but I never got on with the glasshouse nose well.

truly a work of genius

I love e paintwork and weathering is just sublime

Tony thank you ,glad to hear it made the to do list.

Patrick thanks ,appreciate the compliment

Colin ,yes this cammo scheme will try your eyes, always dread doing them until the paint starts flowing, then its not so bad. thanks for the kind words

Robert thank you very much for the high regards, yes the 'Flying Pencil' was the the nickname of the early 17's for obvious reasons. For these glass house canopies the pre-cut mask are a life and eye saver well worth the cost .

Thanks to all for taking  time to leave comments ,really appreciate it,cheers Trey

Great build and great paint job, Trey. Having just wimped out of doing a 'squiggle' scheme myself (albeit in 1/72), I appreciate your skill with the airbrush!
