I’m calling this one done now I added a figure, an antenna and a few other small details. It’s an Asuka 1:35 scale kit, for which you can read the build thread here.

The figure is from MiniArt with a Royal Model head (I just couldn’t get the MiniArt four-piece helmet to fit together), intended to look dejected from having to stand there in this cold tank in some muddy field in France

He looks suitably miserable doesn’t he. Nice job on this one, I particularly like the sandbags and the stowage.

The winter whitewash is spot on Jakko - exactly like it would as done by the crew in the field. Very nice to see.

Especially when you view him sort of low from the front, like in the first photo, I think. I’m quite pleased with the mood the figure shows.

Thanks, the sandbags are probably my favourite bit of this model too, yet were one the easiest bits to make and especially paint of all of it …

Thanks, the whitewash looks appropriately unartistic, as I intended it to be Of course, trying to follow a photo of the real tank makes it fairly easy, I think. Though I must add I think most whitewash on models is too artistically done. It may look great, but is it realistic? Quite often not, is my idea.

Very nice finish Jakko, looks just as a tank on the front in the winter of 44/45 would have done, muddy running gear, miserable crew & stowed heavily.

Great finish Jakko. I particularly like the off color of one of the stowage rather than the usual all olive or brown covers.

Looking very good indeed. A great representation of the hastily applied whitewash from the photo and the commander does look very miserable.
