I picked this kit up three years ago at Telford for just £22!

As my Aston is waiting the lacquer to dry and the Anti Aircraft gun is ticking along nicely I thought I'd start this one.

Its the first 1:32nd scale aircraft I've done and I plan to leave the engine on show, quick thanks to Stona for the engine advice.

Not sure which colour scheme I'm going with just yet, looking at the options there are some pretty nice ones to choose from.

£22? Bargain city! :)

Looks good Adrian, that box paint scheme would be unusual ;)

Rather than start in the office I decided I wanted to do the engine first as I had wanted to try the Dark Iron Mr Hobby Metal colours for the main black, you can brush paint it on and then buff it up in the areas that you want to look worn, I like it and feel this is how I will do engines from now on.

I have to say the kits is full to the brim with things to build and I'm enjoying the amount of detail its requiring :)

Nice Daimler Benz engine Adrian. Will you be leaving the cowl off the aircraft? It doesn't fit with the engine in place, although you could of course just have the engine displayed on it's own.

Looking forward to the progress

I'd already read about the fit issues with the engine on display and how to get round it, so the last exhaust on each side is not fitted until the engine is in place then they will but fed through from the outside :)

That's very nice Adrian. It looks very similar to my 1/48 E-4, had I decided to leave the panels off.

Lovely work Adrian, as you say there is a lot of detail and you have brought it out well.

Looking good Adrian. I've literally just started my version of this kit and I'm not impressed. I hope I can get it together as nicely as yours.

Cheers

Steve
