Hi guys,
Been a few weeks since I was last on. This started innocently enough as I was in Cyprus for the middle two weeks of August.
5 days after returning to Blighty my appendix then decided to explode rather dramatically, leading to a trip to A&E in an Ambulance (a first for me), some emergency surgery and then a week's stay on the ward as they fought to get the infection under control. I felt like a pin cushion by the time I finally got home, I reckon I had had over 50 needles in me during my enforced stay.
I've been home 3 weeks now, but not allowed to lift anything or do anything which has been frustrating. The pain is a lot better now, currently it feels like I have been kicked in the guts, which is a definite improvement.
Hoping to get back to the bench soon, before I go completely stir crazy.
Cheers,
B
