Hi lads
I know we are excited, finding a new home and all that, but there is an introduction thread going. Best get over and formally introduce yourselves before we come across as a bit of a secret squirrel club
Cheers
Tim

Thanks Tony,
I think I speak for us all in saying we are very great full to have found somewhere so welcoming so quickly.
Cheers

Greetings to all Ex MM. It's great to see so many new faces, what a fantastic boost to the forum. Cosford massive, we're going to need a bigger table.

Tony and Colin - thanks for the welcome. Appreciated
Well it is now something like 48 hours since the refugee crisis started. Lost count of how many lost souls have arrived but it seems an awful lot. I think we are starting to find our way around the forum. Seems to be pretty straightforward. Many things are different and there does appear to be a lot of categories to consider when deciding where to post.
Personally I am starting to 'get to know' whose who among the established members. Many great models and a really great variety. Star Wars stuff, figure conversions, burnt out trucks, civilian planes etc - you seem to have it all here.
Hopeful these last couple of stressful, hectic days will have laid the ground work for full integration and involvement by the ex MilMod guys in this forum.
Mostly though A genuine big thank you to the members of the Scale Models forum for your warm welcome.
Off now to sniff some glue and cut some plastic :smiling:
Jim

Thanks Monica
For many modellers, me included, an online forum is the only connection with others in the hobby and so is important.
Jim

The only thing confusing me a lot here now is that the guys from MM now often use new avatars and nicknames which makes that I can't recognize everyone anymore :smiling5:
Wouter I agree, I even had to ask Jim and Samson who they were.
Hope the family are all well and you are getting some sleep !

Well the family are doing well, sleep is another matter, our youngest refuses to let mummy and daddy have decent nights :smiling5:

Cheers

Wouter .
I remember well , the worst was teething at 2 am, felt so tired all the time. Hang on mate .
John.

My youngest is still teething and having 4 kids is hard that's why the modelling has been a bit slow

Well said Jim, Wouter don;t worry it does end sadly when they leave home and are permanently short of money:smiling5:
Jim

Greetings MM refugees, welcome aboard
Thanks Joe.:thumb2:
As you you can see we are one big group of happy modelers from MM, I'm sure we will fit in here very well. Like you guys on here many friendships have been forged over the years and hopefully more will be made on here.
John

Yes Jim is right, mind you helping them is part of being a parent and grandparent.
4 cars in 2 years , but rather they had it now when they need it , rather than the Tax people grab it .
John , soon to be living on the streets
