Bought on impulse today......it has the option to be built with the wings folded as in storage on the carrier and i really fancy doing it like that
im also going to brush paint it to see how well i can do it....especually since i bought some nice new flat brushes recently

Progess has been slow....and tricky!

The undercarriage is fiddly and the cockpit a very tight fit....got there in the end

Nice choice paul , I love the tubby little wildcat , going to look great with the wings folded . Just a side note - when the wings were folded , both the ailerons were deflected slightly upwards ( only time they both go in the same direction at once ) due to the control cables being under tension , I notice the kit has seperate ailerons but dont know if Airfix tell you to fit them in this position . Cheers tony

I'll follow along Paul. Interested to see how the brush painting goes, especially over that dark plastic. Will you use a primer and if so will you also brush paint that.

Interested to see how the brush painting goes,

Well we shall soon know lol

I rattlecanned on primer then brushed on the light grey lowers.....masked the devision line.....and not 10 mins ago did the dark grey uppers........i will give it an hour or two before peeling the tape off

That came together quickly Paul! Looking great.

Want to try a little bit of a wash in a few places...... then a matt clear coat over it all.....then comes attaching the wings which looks like at least a 3 handed job lol

Looks good Paul. Quick little kits are food for the soul.
