Scale Model Shop

Fenland and Spalding show.

Pics...........goes without saying, wouldn't want to leave the rest of us "unfortunates" in the dark would you? And by all means a group pic of those what attended so's the rest of us see the guilty lucky ones that actually made it to the show.
TIA, Mr. Scottie much appreciated. :thumb2:

I've put it in the family diary....... Just need to discuss it with SWMBO now.
Andy, I usually tell the guys I have to check with the "War Department"......you know, you make plans and "She" makes "War" on your plans! :tongue-out3: :tongue-out2: :smiling5: ;)

Good....or possibly bad news depending on your viewpoint.....I'm coming! Won't be there for the whole thing as it's so far from me but will definitely be there for the bulk of it!

Junior's attendance is currently in the balance.....

@scottie, @John Race

Looking forward to seeing you this weekend.

I have to drop my daughter off at work on Sunday morning and she's still waiting to find out what shift she's on but even on the latest start I should be with your shortly before midday. I may have to leave around 3-3:30 to get back in time to pick up her up.

Most importantly though Junior will be gracing us all with his presence!!! ;)

See you Sunday.

ATB.

Hi, the show was well attended again but numbers were down on last year, possibly due to recent events. Various clubs and suppliers were there and I managed to pick up a bargain, more on that later. Met up with John Race and Ben (Yambam) and his better half Katie. Also met Andrew (adt70hk) and junior who is very camera shy. Looking at the pictures I really need to go on a diet lol.

L to R yours truly Andrew, Junior, John, Ben and Katie.

Next are a few photos of some of the various clubs, my apologies but I am no David Baily.

But for me and most of the visitors this was the star of the show. Completely scratch built over 3 years it was rightly awarded best in show at the nationals. the war horse one of the figures is based on the modeller. It really does need to be seen to be believed the level of skill involved.

Thanks to all who came. It was good to meet up with some old friends and meet up with Andrew for the first time. Roll on next year.

cheers
Scottie

Hi Scottie, Looks like you had a great time at the show.....thanks so much for posting up the pics. I do miss the excitement of getting out and talking to like minded modelers and seeing other people's efforts on display. "Handsome" looking group shot, glad you were able to meet up with the "gang"........I understand it was quite a distance for Andrew and Junior to travel good to see they made the trip OK. Thanks again for sharing the pics. :thumb2: :thumb2:

Great to meet up with in person at last and the others and thanks for the pics. If you don't mind I'll add some of my shots to this thread and keep everything in one place, rather than have multiple threads for the show.

Have to agree about the War Horse kit, modelling at it's vey best - the figures are a work of art on their own and then you add the horse to it!

All the best.

Yes mate feel free it makes perfect sense to keep them on here. Your right about the war horse.

Great to meet up with Scottie and Ben (and of course his better half) for the first time, and of course Comrade Race for the second time!

Junior sends his apologies for not showing his face and doing an impression of a headless 'Squid Game' figure....he is not normally that shy but given his age and this being a public forum I hope you understand.

Ok so below are some of my shots of the show, I'll try not to repeat Scotties but will probably fail occasionally. As always there are far too many to share them all, so as usual you can find the full album HERE.

PS My phone camera is not the best and some of the tables were near very big windows, so some colours look a bit washed out.

So first up some close ups of Scottie's club table

What is modelling without some minions?

Great use of toy stuffing to generate breath in a cold atmosphere

The Battle of Britain Lancaster (or so I was told) as was used during the 1950s

A large scale conversion of some sort

Some dystopian kitbashes, which I rather liked

Some other shots....the rest are in the album!

Looks like a fun time was had by all……..excellent picture spread as well. Nice to see Ogri in there ;)

Thanks for sharing pics of some fantastic models. I also believe that is the first time I have ever seen a pic of Scottie. :smiling: :hungry:
