I thought I would have a try at chipping with hairspray, how hard can it be? ;)
A coat of rusty brown with hairspray on top left for 10 minutes to dry.

Then a coat of buff, also left for 10 minutes to dry.

Then I set about it with a couple of different brushes and a cocktail stick.

Seems to work OK, now I know this will be old hat to you guys, but I have never tried this before and I am so pleased I just had to tell someone. :smiling:

Andy.

A million times better than my first attempt!

And the second, third, fourth...... :smiling5:

I'm worried about you Andy. Too long alone in that shed.....

But actually thats a good effect

Well done Andy. Cracking result. You will be HS chipping everything now LOL. Which make of paint did you use??

looking good

ive always found a really stiff brush used in a sort of stabbing action works quite well

I use Tamiya acrylic by choice, I have tried Vallejo but I can not get them to work properly for some reason.

Andy.

Tamiya is a nice paint to chip. Vallejo takes some getting used to but produces a nice chipping pattern once mastered
