Got some good news I have finally managed to get the last remaining six missing issues so I will be back on to this one once I have done some plastic I should have them within the next week.

The last few were rather hard it's just been a matter of waiting until they turned up.
Finally back to work hopefully to the end.
First thing up is finishing the Arados there are two but I have to only made one but i was in a hurry and made a muck of it so I have had to resort to the hairy stick.

Back to the smallest parts just spent the afternoon making three of the smallest anti aircraft guns and yes that is a tamiya 10ml paint jar they are sat on. 
A great build Peter, you have done an amazing job, and well done on finding all the missing issues
Those tiny AA guns must have been an eye straining job.

I have finally got around to painting 6 medium guns ready for installation on the ship 
Medium and heavy turrets painted and finished
And the heavy AA guns ready for painting.

Glad this is back as far too much work had been done to allow it to gather dust. Looks like there's a way to go but the end is in sight. It's a stunning model.
More parts painted and finally glued on and thankfully my tubs of stored parts are getting less.
Bad news I will be abandoning this build as I came to put the catapult in and it won't fit because all the decks are completely out of line and this stems way back to whoever built the hill frame work but as I will getting some pension money soon I will be ordering the full amati kit in the meantime its back to plastic
