I got this one a couple of years ago and I did start it but problem's with the decals and rear suspension put a stop to it I tried a few times and gave up.
So hopefully third time lucky.
I have managed to sort the rear suspension and hopefully I can sort the decals out.
And it's a scale I have never come across before.
But the time saver is no engine to build.20200410_174710.jpg20200410_174728.jpg20200410_174819.jpg20200410_174827.jpg20200410_174800.jpg20200410_174808.jpg

After two years I have decided to try and finish off.
I have sorted the issue with the rear suspension assembly and finished the front nose and suspension main engine cover plus the rear wing
Once again any help in rescaning the decals would be much appreciated.

Have you tried a decal fixing solution decals are nit something you can just scan in and print out again.
If they are sound enough I would be looking into the decal adhesive idea.

The decals are OK it's just that the don't stick when dry.
I have tried everything thats why it's been in cupboard for the last two years I would scan and reprint but I don't have a scanner, printer or a computer as I would so little it wouldn't be worth having one even if I could afford it.
That's why I have put a call for help out.

I take it the decals are stick on as opposed to waterslide? No idea if there is a really thin glue out there to do the job. There is a product called 3M Spray Mount which may, or may not do the job but it's £20 a tin so a bit pricey just to try something.

Andy.

Wow! I tried that once, and the decals stuck so tight I couldn't slide them to the correct position!
Are there any aftermarket decals available?

Good idea Andy, I use it a lot for dioramas . You'd need very little spray on the back of the decal , and have to get it in place right the first time as any glue smeared would show .Bit pricey as you say .

Peter,
1/18 scale? I can't remember seeing models of that scale before! Formula 1 cars have been made in 1/12, 1/20, 1/24 in the big model category, but I wonder why Heller suddenly decided 1/18 was a good idea? Obviously not very successful!
