HI ALL WELL MY LAPTOP HAS FINISHED BEIN COMPLETY WIPED ALL WEEK AN IVE NOW GOT IT BACK today TO WORKIN ON LINE AN THIS IS MY FIRST POST BACK ON HERE AN HAVE HEARD THAT I MAY NOT STAY an HERE TBH IM NOT HAPPY WITH HOW THE FORUM IS NOW AS TO COMPLEX FOR ME SORRY ALL BUT I WILL STAY A WHILE AN TRY TO GET USE TO THE FORUM I HOPE YOU ALL SEE MY DELIMER

Good to see you again Chris; hope you and the Missus are well! Give it some time to get used to the forum's new format - it's not vastly different and is still evolving so exercise some of your legendary patience mate (and this is coming from me - probably the least techie person on the forum!)

Nice to hear from you again Chris. Stick around mate, it will get familiar pretty quickly…..if you move, then anywhere else will be different as well, but at least you’ve got mates here that will help you when you need it.

HI Seve YES WE are well thank you sir but this week has been so frustrarun over this laptop as it packed up altogeather an tyrin to get some one to fix it has been a devil an near sent jen over the edge when she was phonein around about this as some say they have a go an will still charge even if they cant fix it but in the end went to currys an they had it all week an fixed it an very pleased to have it back as seem s like i lost my best frind lol
GOOD TO BE BACK AN WILL SEE HOW I GET ON ON THE FORUM an yes a bit of time

HI IAN THANKS FOR BEIN MISSED but once the pc goes well thats it nearly bought a new one while in curry but thi one will have to do till next yr as it will be windows 11 then an my laptop wont get any updates but its good for another yr anyway

AN MANY THANKS Tim yes nice to have mates to help me you are all great frenids so yes im givin it a try out for a while but still a little confused on some issuse but im hopein to be able to pick things up as i go

I think we’ve all found it a bit daunting to start with but as everyone has said it’s not that different really and we are all here to help (muddling through together 😂)

Glad to see you back. A PC that goes on you is never fun. Glad that you got fixed up in the end.
As far as the new software goes it is pretty much the same as the old old. Yes it looks different. but workings wish almost identical.
You can write a post, answer other's posts, post pictures. You can even multi quote lol. It just needs a few tries and its there. All those begging you to come join them did not even try, they just gave up. They even told the place they went to that it was because it had become to hard to use here. Then started to ask for help there "How do you do....." all the things they claimed they could not do here because...bla!

I am sure there are many here that will help if you hit a bump in the road. A good thread to read would be the one by John explaining how the picture posting works. It was quite an ordeal at first and scared a lot of people off. Now it is just as easy as before.
 
Welcome back Chris. Not sure what you use your computer for but if it's mainly for surfing the net etc then I strongly recommend a Chromebook. They are much cheaper to buy. I changed to a chrome book this year and absolutely love it. Well worth speaking to someone in the know before your rush out and buy a new lap top. Please give the new site a chance. I actually like it now that things are settling down and hopefully it wont need to change for many years to come.

I hope you stay. Youre a friendly bloke on here. There are a few changes but not really. It is mostly cosmetic. The people are still the same though.

Well Chris, as others have said, so glad to hear you're staying. I enjoy your modelling, your support and your friendship. Stick with it and if you have any issues with the new set up just ask and you'll get help in sorting it.

HI HAWKERHUNTER THANK YOU FOR THE WELCOME BACK CHEERS BUT I HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT THIS CROMEBOOK IS AN NO I DONT REALLY WANT TO BUY ANOTHER LAPTOP YET BUT WILL HAVE TO NEXT YEAR AS IM ON WINDOWS 10 AN NOW WINDOWS 11 IS GOIN WITH MY LAPTOP IT WILL RUN BUT NOT GET WINDOWS UPDATES SO I'LL BE PUSHED TO BUY A NEW LAPTOP AN AS IM NOT TECK SAVVY AN NEITHER IS JEN AS THIS WK HAS NEARLY PUSHED US BOTH OVER THE EDGE TRYIN TO GET THIS LAPTOP SORTED AN THIS PC PACKS UP anyway not right
