just came across this. Historic England has created a searchable, public archive of arial photos for the past century. It is really interesting - shame it does not include Guernsey.

That’s a fun site Peter. I found my house pretty easily…..it was the only one in the road in 1946…..it was still a farm then with its nearest neighbour about a quarter of a mile away….

There's a program knocking around on one of the free TV channels called Aerial Britain. It's not a bad program for a 30 minute coffee break.

Just had a look, found our area and some photos of some land before it was built on recently. Thanks Peter, nice find.

Very interesting. Just had a look to see what home looked like, to see an interesting build up across the road. A bit of research, and apparently it was a POW camp full of Italiens.

The blue circle indicates the house (which has been in the family three generations, but not in 1946) and I’ll let you guess where the POW camp is.
