I think I may be on the verge of getting back at the bench. About 29 years ago I had a bad bike accident. I spent a year or so recovering and to pass the time I started painting warhammer miniatures. Never was into the gaming side, just enjoyed the painting. I've been thinking over the past couple of weeks about starting it again. Just got to decide which characters to choose. There will be no fixed army or such. I'm just going to go for miniatures that take my fancy to keep it varied.

Great stuff. Looking forward to the figures if and when they come. There are some fantastic ranges out there now, most of which leave games workshop in the shade, especially for value for money…..:thumb2:
Certainly is a good range out there. Been looking online. Loads I like just got to decide now.

After approximately 18 months, the bench has been reopened!!! It's my wedding anniversary on Saturday and the Mrs has bought me a miniature painting kit. 20 paints, 5 figures and painting guide. I've included a picture of the set. I'll keep you informed how I'm getting on.
