Well I think I'm done! I think I spent more time waiting for parts, than I did building the thing! LOL

I just had loads of time as the mrs is spending a lot of time working on her final exam and has made a return to rowing as well. So Loads of time for me to play!!!! Yeah.

A brief comment on the build then on to the photos.

I got hold of a Hasegawa kit, which saved me from a lot of the fit issues that others have had, but to make up for that, I opted for a truck load of resin "upgrades" to make fit instead.

These where: wheel bays, cock pit, jet pipes and wheels from Aires. Wingfolds from Airwaves, and of course the radar from Eduard...:-(

Painted with Vallejo for the white and Xtractlix for the ESDG. Metal work painted with Alclad II.

The washes where artists oil paints.

Hope that you like the results. Comments welcome.

PS if anyone is wondering about the rather odd roundels and the colonial navy.... This is what happens if you park you Royal Navy Phantom on the deck of USS Enterprise, and leave it unattended.

A very clean build with lots to look at. Loving the detailed undercarriage (the brake lines are very cool). Top marks (5 never seems enough).

Brilliant job. And thanks for answering my question (which I hadn't asked) about the markings.
