Just cut up some old carpet from a dog owner's house Ian. They'll improve the taste of Marmite no end!

Recently bought a kit off ebay for £4.50 and my son said "£4.50 on a piece of plastic!" That is coming from someone who is planning on spending £42 on a new game for his games console. Am I mistaken or are those made of plastic!?

I am lucky with my in laws, father in law is very artistic and really enjoys the stuff put together, though he did wonder if I could take moulds of them and then sell them lol. my father always said he would rather watch paint dry, lol.

Si ,is your father in law a fisherman ? if so hit him with exactly the same line he gave you "if youre not going to eat it whats the point in catching it , waste of money!!" before all the fisherman start biting (geddit , biting ? ok I'll get me coat) I dont think fishing is a waste of time it just illustrates the point that someones hobby is personal to themselves ,and if they enjoy it then its not a waste of money. Whatever the hobby , if you can do it , can afford it and it wont upset anybody then go for it, its your life. tony

My problem is to many hobbies i have always modeled in some shape or form as my dad has but i also sail, row, fish i use vintage gear split cane and centrepin reels etc. and i make fishing tackle. the military vehicle restoration had to go as did ww2 living history but i may take canoeing back up.

In fact my problem is work getting in the way!

Spot on Dave. Before I got to the ripe age that was my bleat. Work gets in the way of all the things I wish and desire to do in my life.

Now retired (not from life) and my new concern is there is not enough time to fit in all those things in I wish to do and desire to do.

What has not changed is my philosophy all my life is to do all the jobs you hate to do first and as quickly as possible. As then all that follows is heaven as reverse the matter and you are in hell doing the things you want to do knowing that all the hateful things have yet to be done.

So deep and on a Sunday Morning.

Ive had comments from the in-laws before which i find sometimes a little disheartening but learnt a great technique its not a new fancy painting skill or weather its just let what ever they say go in one ear and out the other ear!

Keep Building Regardless of comments its for your enjoyment!
