Hey guys, I got some great news today, after an age being unemployed (apart from the odd few hours at toys r us), I've been offered a job with the new waitrose store opening in Ipswich!!!! I start training on monday, and I think I might get a trip to billingsgate market as part of the training cos I'm gonna be working on meat and fish!!!!

Congratulations and well done!

Getting a job in these times is really hard. A lady on the ITV News said that she'd applied for circa 500 jobs and only got a handfull of replies.

Waitrose are a decent firm to work for too I believe....although I wouldn't fancy ponging of fish!

oh yes, well done, my son has a job with another large chain and has a discount card,we get 10% off everything we nuy. very nice

Fair dues mate..it totally sucks being out of work and skint...having no money soon wears very thin.

Well done Andrew, Waitrose are a very good company to work for. I have family who work for them and also in the past they have worked for their sister company John Lewis.
