Jack

Just caught up. That's coming on very nicely indeed.

Very well done so far.

Love it , weathering really good. As for the timber :thumb2::thumb2::thumb2:

You're making an excellent job of this Jack. Shame about the decals but they look fine. Weathering is spot on. Oils are so useful.

Not sure this is update worthy, but spending more time with the oils and enamels.0639D1F5-5B3E-4988-9B7C-99E047727DB5.jpeg
Think I may have overdone the AA deck wear and tear.

Thanks Jim. I 'think' I'm starting to get the hang of oils and how good and versatile
they can be.

This is great, such a different build to see on the forum. Splendid work too.
Thanks Colin. Hopefully do it justice.

Jack, I'm thinking the AA platform looks pretty believable...considering the AA mount was probably manned every time the Sub surfaced.......it wouldn't take long for the paint to wear through and then the rust to set in.....just a thot with a late morning coffee and a Hobnob. ;)

Thanks both. Not really been able to find any references that show much detail of that sort...bit your reassurance is good enough for me.
What a tremendous build Jack, superb
Thanks Bob. Very kind.

Jack think like Rick says the deck is right, it would have more wear than other areas , and I haven't had a Hobnob :smiling:

Been chipping away at the starboard side weathering (pun intended). After hearing lots of praise for Flory Washes, i bought a couple of shades. Instant fan here.
