The wings need a bit of plastic putty, but are ok by the moment. I will take care with the 8º dihedral as well o_O

I’m thinking that will be very difficult to arrive at the target with the Alan’s Hurricane flying nearly with those machineguns, so I decided to choice the 500kg bomb for a massive attack :)

It looks like there's plenty of work involved to bring the Stuka up to scratch. But you're doing a fine job there, it looks amazing so far. Keep up the good work Polux.

Advices and mistakes. (part one)

Hi all. I think this post should be useful for all those who want to build this Airfix item.

As you can read, you will see my mistakes  and some advices that can help you during the under construction time.

1- If you have followed this thread, you can see I built all the engine separately. My advice here is don’t glue this tube on the engine. Wait until the last step on the build time, because it can give you some problems. I glued only the small one (like is showed on the instructions) and now I have to change all

2- On this part of the fuselage (under the engine) there are two little pieces you have to glue. My advice is waiting or builds first this other piece before. This one is bigger than the hole that leaves the two little pieces. As you can see I solve it with a cutter.

Anyway, once you have the piece on the right place, will appear a big canyon...... my advice here is go to the John's model shop and ask for plastic putty before start this model :D :D :D

3- This one is my mistake. The Stuka cockpit is really big and you will need some time to construct and finish it. Separate all the pieces for painting is a thing that will help you a lot. But the problem is don’t separate the “build time” on two like me.... Now try to imitate and copy the same weathering and colour on the soil and walls will be a hard and difficult work....

Hope these advices and comments can help you!!

Hi Polux

You're making a fine job of this Stuka. The engine and cockpit paintwork is very convincing.

Advices and mistakes

When you finish the cockpit, you will read on the instructions that, now, you can glue the cockpit to the left part of the fuselage. Ok.....seems all fits ok! The problem comes on the next step.....what a hell!! The cockpit don’t fit to the other part O_o

I suppose, I will disassembling all the cockpit again.... :(

Well....this will be my last replay for a few days or weeks..... The reason is really simple O_o

Seems I haven’t luck with the planes. There was a little piece on the engine that was missed. First time thought was my guilty, then another one on the cockpit.....two pieces....

But today I have a several problem....There is a piece of the main fuselage that....well, there isn’t!!!! I have called the shop on the big city, after explain my problem seems there is any kind of problem, but first I have to go to the city (I’m really busy now), then they will call to the Airfix Spain and ask for the new pieces. And of course all this will take his time.....and more now, all those kind of business have holidays o_O

Ufff....I’m not lucky with planes guys!!!
