Heres one Ive just finished , the old (1981 tooling !) KP kit of the Yak 23 'Flora' . Its a typical 80's child , raised panel lines , not much interior detail but its not a bad kit and it did only cost me about £3. I didnt bother with a build log as its been ongoing alongside the Hustler and SU 34 .

I added some details to the cockpit , scratchbuilt a seat , cut the canopy open and opened up the nose intakes .Naturally the decals were unusable so I had to source them from the spares box . I also made a small base for it from MDF to represent the Hexagonal plates type of runway /apron found on some Soviet airbases in the fifties (and some today still) . Hope you like it , comments criticisms welcome , cheers tony[/ATTACH] View attachment 116147

Nice one Tony, always liked the early period Soviet jets and you have defo done this one justice.

Si:)

Excellent work Tony.

The model looks lovely and the base is a magnificent complement.

Great one!

What a decent little turn out for £3 quid, nice job on the paint finish

Regards

Phil

That's a great little build Tony. An oldie but you have turned it into a gem.

superb work Tony we don't offend see,Soviet jets, and this is a great looking one

very well done, :D

Wonderful job and some perfect weathering. I think an overall silver finish has to be one of the most difficult surfaces to get some realism into without it looking a mess. Yours looks spot on.

I thought I knew what a Yak 23 looked like. I was wrong ! Anyway, great model. Like the base idea lots.
