Happy Birthday Peter...you'll enjoy the 109 as I did.

Cheers,

Postie just delivered this, the fifth part of my FAA builds........

As usual at a good price!
Dave

That should be a nice kit. Wonder if it is a scaled down version of the Trumpeter 1/48 I just built as somebody said they're both the same company.

Cheers,
Richard

Richard,
HobbyBoss & Trumpeter have the same parent company. The 1/72 SeaHawk seems to be a scaled down version of the 1/48 ( or is the 1/48 a scaled up 1/72? ). What is wrong is the finishes - It provides serial numbers for the TOPS of the wings................, and one version has IJN grey undersides! Looks like the reference was a dirty poorly-restored specimen!

I was going to keep off evilbay for a few days because i keep adding to my stash when i shouldn't be but........

When i found this kit that i've been after for about 7 years going for a complete and utter bargin, way below what they normally go for (nearly double what i paid), then i just 'had' to have it. A lovely 1/48 Revell He111 H22 & V1

Well i now have no excuse to do the 1/32 Bf109 G6/R6 for the Nightfighter GB. Arrived today all the way from Hong Kong. My Barracuda resin seat and rear bulkhead (to replace the terrible Revell one)

Hi all, the last two pieces of my evilbay purchases finally arrived. A good deal for €6,40 delivered and I do love rocket thingys!!!

From the Revell (re-boxed Zvezda) Sd Kfz 251 kit including complete indy links and decals for the rockets. real nice!!! The second one I hope to use to convert my Opel Blitz F 405 T-Stoff wagen to 4WD,

This will involve a lot more scratchy, but the Opel 4WD conversion kit is horrible…..I also needed to replace my Micro Kristal Kleer as my bottle is well over 30 years old and not working anymore. Also a few other things,

More cables, a new flat black and the clamps for my Steyr 2000 stromwagen relay cabinet rebuild down the road……..

And extra suprise birthday present was at the door this morning the spitfire jumped into my hands on my last model shop visit and the fergie was a charity shop find.
And you can guess what my next build will be.20190502_164422.jpg

Never!!!

Due a lack of modelling the last year or so my small skills really went down hill and they have improved building the Marder, however more practice is needed. So next up is????

Hi Si

Either the Pz iv or Elefant also have a marder 11 in the stash

However there a few ready for weathering lol. I have both a Panther G plud Hetzer in primer ready for a weathering attack. Plus the Stug O varnished, never weathered panzer grey so the Hetzer is in grey ready. It can only go wrong!

Amazon delivery on a Bank Holiday!hb sabre.jpg

I had some other things to order - and this was £6.25, so no big deal if it's rubbish.
Certainly different when you open the box!P1060178.JPG
Not many bits, but that fuselage moulding, in one piece..................P1060179.JPG

Detail - engraved panel lines...............P1060181.JPG

It has largely been forgotten that the RAF used the Sabre ( 300+ ) in the mid 50's, as an interim between Meteor/Vampire and the Hunter, these were made by Canadair, under license. These planes were passed on after retirement, mainly to Italy.
I found a partial Modeldecal sheet, with a load of RAF Sabres - I know that this is the wrong version to depict the Sabre Mk.4 - but I'm going to use it anyway!
