Latest Acquisitions (2020)

Great arrival today from John. @ SMS

Hopefully the dio can commence in earnest and I won't get my needles mixed up :smiling::smiling::smiling:
Hang on no 4Bo, or is the tanker delayed! The mud is great:thumb2:

Bit of an impulse purchase this but I found it on offer for £26 delivered, Sealey BG1010

Around 8" / 20cm wide, it has a coarse & fine wheel fitted, variable speed, slow start, flexible shaft for dremel type tools or drill bits that can connect to either side, and an additional piece (not pictured) for mounting the wire wheel, polishing head or red "scotchbrite" type wheel.

I bought it mainly for the flexible shaft as it's got to be easier on the wrist than my heavy budget tool but I'm sure the other bits will come in handy.
Hi, the flexible shaft is a handy addition, only thing I found was I had to make a holder for it otherwise it bounces and jiggles all over the desk. :smiling3:

Thanks for the tip Mark. I'd hoped the soft rubber feet might prevent that but I'll find something to strap it down with. Lots of duct tape probably :smiling5:

Oh no!!! not another sweater with one long arm and no neck hole......

Early delivery from postie...............
I've had these on backorder for a long time

A quick look in the boxes, and the wait was worth it - nice mouldings, good decal sheets. The Kfir armament is all single piece moulded, bombs. LGBs & missiles - like the AMK 1/48 models.

And as a result of another cheeky bid on ebay........................DSCF0184.JPG
From Mitches Military Models - 1/9 Soviet Pilot 'Hero of the Soviet Union' - I'll have to do a bit of research to see if I can identify him.

Another delivery from SMS.
Never again will there be a mix up with nozzels, tip and end caps .

How's this for a bargain?
from The Works.
They had other titles like the buccaneer but I'm not into jets.

I got the infantry one a few weeks ago - our branch had quite a few other titles in stock but I already have them (at considerably higher prices - typical)

Hi all

So there was a small model show this morning local to me - mostly trade stalls- that I picked up these at.

Been thinking on how to display my Wellington bust. I looked at wooden plinths, but I wanted something plain, and in a neutral colour, so the bust draws the attention, not the base! - anyway postie delivered these a moment ago.......................DSCF0207.JPG

Solid resin plinths, ready to be drilled & sprayed. I sourced them from Model Display Products in Newport, Gwent. Reasonable price, fast service - well worth a look!

Hanslope Andrew? I was there, we should have arranged a meet. There didn't seem to be as many traders there as usual. I only bought a book about the BBMF, and a few aftermarket bits.

No, I'm not about to rip the seat out of my F-16 Hornet, but that Quickboost seat is gorgeous, so I had to have it! The seller kindly knocked a few quid off.
