My last 4 months worth of bits arrived so far while I've been away, hoping to get home soon and start building (I think these photos were sent by other half to make a point??)!
Got a smaller Lancaster for display purposes along with resin detailing parts.
Also have another couple of lightnings to add to the above.

Seeing how I have thinned 27 kits out of the stash and only purchased a few new ones (mostly wing thingys), I decided it was time for a new cutting tool for my upcoming scratch building project. This caught my eye,

DSC05494 (2).JPG

It would have definitely done the job, until I saw the price.....€4999.00....................So I bought a new kit which is one of the last ones on my wish list. Really hard to find here,

Just don't let Rick (Mini Me) know about it.....................

My latest purchase is a scalemodelscenery diorama baseboard and 4mm scale low relief wagon works building.

These 'Superquick' card models are great fun to put together. Some folks might remember the Country Pub I made where I tipped snow all over it!

This shed will form part of a backdrop to my 92250 model. Yes, I know I should have scratched one, but I just couldn't be bothered, or more like couldn't face, scribing all that brickwork etc.

A bit of weathering etc. will sort it - I hope.

I use Metcalfe buildings for the boys layout, and they are fun to build also.

Nothing like a good card kit Ron, I have made many of these and once weathered they great.

Good grief Ron, that’s a blast from the past....I built that fifty years ago......there are similar kits from companies such as Metcalf that are much newer, only about 25 years old ;) Very wide range of subjects though.

Metcalf are one of the main card kit manufacturers, especially for railway modellers.

I can buy two Superquick for the price of one Metcalfe. I sling a load of weathering and sometimes scratch a 'Proper' roof on the buildings anyway, so I don't see the point in buying the more expensive Metcalfe equivalent.

I got a job lot on eBay cheap, sort of decided the direction of the layout really.
