Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2022)

Yeah! My packages have arrived!
Winner by a couple of hours was PostNord, the Danish national postal 'service' Whom which left the pack and ran. lol.
the content of which was:
20220929_140133.jpg
Was almost out of black primer and Needed the red brown for the Halftrack
While I was there these hopped in the basket:
20220929_140201.jpg
Also a large pot of liquid mask....
The other pack, from Poland arrived an hour ago and had these in:
20220929_140057.jpg20220919_153255.jpg
One of which will be getting thrown behind the 12 ton tractor....
Ho and two bottles of Mig/ammo glue.

Mornin`.......
Well, the Birthday modelling "Tokens" have been spent, and the last of the items arrived yesterday,so here are the resulting goodies:money-face: ........
..... I pondered over various sites, and,on line auctions for many an hour before deciding on,and/or winning,(or not!!),bids:nerd:,
I went for a selection of kits and "Stuff" rather than blowing it all on one kit,and ended up with quite a varied selection ...........
First up,........

couple multi packs of replacement blades,(a real "Must" if you ask me),and a nice camo mask set for my Defiant:hungry:,next, some 1/48th 3D printed pilots,2 types....... one with "Mask on" and one with "Mask off",they`re quite nice, but look a little "Chunky" when compared to say,Tamiya pilots. Also 1/48th Extradecal Swastika set, although due to the various sizes i reckon some will be handy for other scales:thumb2:.....

now a plane that i`ve wanted for ages, but could never decide on which kit....... until now.......

Finally,I`ve seen a lot of the guys building Ships lately and have often thought,"I quite fancy trying something different". That in mind i saw a "Job Lot" on the Bay that is Evil...... Seller asked £135 B.I.N...... or starting bid £50..... I placed said £50 and ended up the only bidder:cool: .....
This next 5, Yep FIVE ,kits arrived together yesterday........

At first glance they look to be quite nice, and a fairly simple build..... and at 5 kits for £50,well,what`s not to like!!;)
So there you have it,a rather eclectic mix of stuff, but i`m rather chuffed..... All came in under my £100 Birthday Budget....... even have enough left to celebrate with an Ivor Dewdney`s "Giant Peppered Steak Pastie"
HAPPY DAYS !!
I keep dithering over that Beaufighter too, hurry up and build it so I can make my mind up......

.... Will do Karl!
Just peeking in the box it looks very nice, and fully packed too :)
I've waited a while to get one,so, despite the builds I have on the go at the moment, it's jumped up to a list topping kit ;)

I’ve been on that one, in 1998 :) Bloody hot inside … but very impressive to see the insides of the rear gun turret.

That's a fine haul Andy, plenty to keep you going as winter approaches..

Happy Birthday buddy

Thank you to the resident book fairy, Mr Airforce.......

Hi Karl,
Great book.
I have had it in my library for over 50 years, though it is a little stylised of the time, it is a superb reference and is my 1st stop for uniforms, medals and anything Wehrmacht.
Good catch

And very grateful I am.
