When you're at the North Pole, the only possible direction of travel is South! An Evri delivery ( is it just me, or has their service become better after the name change from Hermes? )
Nice..... And no hacking away at plastic involved this time DaveAn Evri delivery ( is it just me, or has their service become better after the name change from Hermes? )
I've been bidding unsuccesfully on these for a couple of years on Ebay, but this one came up - the box is battered, but it's at least 40 years old - parts & decals complete - there's a price tag of £1.50 on the back - I got it for £8.05 delivered - another scratched off the wish list! Result! :thumb2::smiling:

I think you'll like them. I have been using them for a while now and while they are perhaps not up to Lacquer metallics they are very good. Use a gloss black undercoat if you want the most shiny finish. So not very exciting but heard good things about this range in terms of performance..... Laquer based paints are out and these seem to be the best water based ones....
If I get in ok with this, might order some more in the future.
I use them and do not have any real negative comments, except when masking you will get some residue duts stuck to the masking tape. But do not leave the tape on for very long as it will mark the surface, you can rub some of the sticky off between your fingers before applying. So not very exciting but heard good things about this range in terms of performance..... Is that Robert Mitchum at the wheel or am I wrong? Maybe I'm wrong, he's just a PFC... :tongue-out3:Nice mail call from John this morning... Have been looking forward to the Jeep for some time :smiling2::thumb2::thumb2:
Vallejo also do an alcohol based set of metals, but they dry very fast.So not very exciting but heard good things about this range in terms of performance..... Laquer based paints are out and these seem to be the best water based ones....

Mike, thanks for the tip re the masking tape. As for de-tacking the tape, I always do that now regardless, following someone's advice on here.I use them and do not have any real negative comments, except when masking you will get some residue duts stuck to the masking tape. Thanks Jakko.....masking tape issue duly noted!I’ve got a normal dropper bottle of their aluminium airbrush paint, and though I’ve only used it once or twice, I was very happy with the finish. It did kind of lift off in a few places where I pulled masking tape off, though, so I’d advise to be careful with that.
I will be waiting to see another build of this by one of the YouTubers who have said they will be doing the kit, hopefully they ill pick up any pitfalls that might exist before I start...Is that Robert Mitchum at the wheel or am I wrong? Maybe I'm wrong, he's just a PFC... :tongue-out3:
Silly comments aside, I fancied several time to get that kit: are you going to build it soon?

Lovely….a Tarpon! Got one in the stash myself. I was really taken by the one at the FAA museum Yeovilton, so came home with a kit of it……I think mine’s Hobbyboss though.WELLLLLLLL this really WILL be the last Aircraft purchase of this year,(Unless i happen upon the last 2 on my wish list for a good price of course!)...
Wanted one of these for a while, and with the "Extras" i got with it,i think it was a bargain for £27 delivered.......
..... Just hope that a Dauntless or Blenheim don`t pop up to tempt me before the end of the year!!:tears-of-joy:

The Accurate Miniatures moulds ( also been boxed by Hasegawa & Academy ) - I made a Battle of the Atlantic boxing years ago - a really nice model that is still up to modern standards, and with those extras should be a real stunner - the paint masks are essential, with all that glass ( I did mine without, and it took me as long to paint the canopies/turret as the rest of the model. ) - A good buyWELLLLLLLL this really WILL be the last Aircraft purchase of this year,(Unless i happen upon the last 2 on my wish list for a good price of course!)...
