Latest Acquisitions (2022)

I was thinking the same thing Dave except maybe in 1/32...

I think that would have been a step too far.......I need to check but on the sprue and at first glance the Spitfire wings look almost as wide as my 1/72 Mossie's!

For once i am going to say "I'm not guilty on this one". I refer you to the 'not specifically recommended' section of your libelous comments. If i had in fact done 'a job' on you, you'd have ventured into 1/32 scale ;)

Can't wait to see what the other presents you have that i may or may not know what they are already lol

And there you are you had to go and say 1/32!! I must resist!! I must resist!!! ;) :smiling5:

I'm looking forward to opening my completely unknown pressies too!!!

Sooooo Alan..........yer sayin' you only did half a job on him?
Apparently so Rick! But as you can see he finished the job with just the mention of the scale that shall not be mentioned!!

Thanks guys for the laughs.

Very good indeed Andrew, I've used it for some time now. The ability to mix your own strength is helpful, from a general clean kept in a ex eye wash bottle to a full strength for really deep clean .Considering the amount you can make from that bottle along with the saving in postage it's a winner .

Thanks Jim, think you mentioned it once before. VMS had a offer on so made up the order with those two . Used to have some AK stuff but used it all up months ago .
Thx John!! When my current batch of screen wash runs out I might have a look!

Actually the Spitfire wings are a bit longer!

Afternoon all,

While enjoying some of my first Christmas present, the Postie rang my door and gave me my second pressie. Mailed yesterday and here today, in my hands!!! Got it for a very reasonable price from a private seller on evilbay. Made him an offer he couldn't refuse..........

These kits are so fine and I even found some figs for it too!!! NO, I'm not going wing thingy, but when my bench is clear of my other two projects, this will get built.........

Prost and Ho, Ho, Ho!!!

Bought for use in a GB but not really suitable so will get something else. Beautiful car though.

Andy.
KinDigit did a custom version of this...

Merry Christmas Mr. Smiff, Rach and Cohan!!! No, the WNW kits don't include figs, but I found two sets from Copper State Models that were marked down for it. Should get them next week. Eduard does make nice kits, especially in 1/48. Of course, 1/32 kits are a bit pricey, but easier (I hope) to do the rigging on them...You guys have a good one and Ho, Ho, Ho Andy!!!...

Don’t know about 1/32 being easier to rig Allen. At that scale you probably need turnbuckles. You can get away without them in 1/48……nice kit, by the way.

Thanks, and true Tim, but WNW states in their instructions you shouldn't use them. I don't know why as I'm not a wing thingy builder. There's something about these kits from WNW that I love!!!

Here's wishing you and the family (I realize that some have to work) a very Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year. I also look forward to more of your fantastic lawn ornament work next year...

Cheers Allen. Right back at you :tongue-out3: ….have a fun Christmas and a healthy and happy new year.
Biplanes are a right minefield when you start looking into them……some of the wings are semi transparent, and some of the rigging is flat……and some of it is different cross sectional sizes. The bigger the scale, the more noticeable this is……fabulous looking contraptions though. Perhaps you could start a group build for them later next year ;)

Two completely different type of kits I was lucky enough to receive, the figures from my brother in law,and the plane from Rach..... She must've been spying on my posts, because,a while back on Ron's thread I said,"always wanted to have a go at one of these, but in 1/48th that just ain't gonna happen"..... and now it has!! :smiling3: .... and, unsurprisingly, what a MAHOOSIVE box!!! ....
