Very nice, do those energy saving bulbs throw out enough heat?
(And I'll not comment on the wirring.......)
Yep, gets hot in the box. Left the wiring like that so I could see if the light is on with the lid shut :anguished:;):smiling3::smiling3:

put a 1/5 head in for about 2 hrs and it was nice and dry, my old bigger box took at least twice that long.

I have a Trumpeter one that in my mind looks exactly the same (I haven’t actually compared the two), and it’s very much intended to replicate flush rivets on aircraft models. Run it over the surface and it will leave a line of little dimples — not suitable for armour models at all.

People of the jury I present to you, a bargain Tamiya kit in all its rarity, fully packaged, with tweezers, the kit untouched and for the grand sum of £25 including P&P, Farcebook Marketplace does have its bonuses...

Not that tiny in 1/35…..you want to try one in 1/72. I built a pair for the Simon T memorial GB :tongue-out3:
I think Dave built one recently as well…..

Good catch Lee. Interesting little vehicle I think….kind of like a French universal carrier.

If you want the pennies Andy, it's worth it mate, I've seen one kit up at £75... £75! Was the person on an illegal substance?!

I've wanted the kit for a while but never saw it at a reasonable price... hey ho, here it is!

Highest price in ebay completed listings is £63.72 + postage from Japan!

Newly arrived on the bench. The Airfix 1/700 Titanic kit is an w bay bargain at £12.50 delivered with a really tatty box. It is a major departure for me as cars are my thing but, with a lot of help, tips and answers from your good selves I hope to make a worthy model using aftermarket PE, decking, masts and lighting kit. I will take my own sweet time with this whilst car builds paints are drying etc.
I hope getting the kit isn't a portent of doom as we are going cruising around Norwegian fjords for 7 days on Friday so modelling for about 2 weeks. :disappointed2: SWMBO wants me to build either the VW camper or the Corvette next but I was looking for something simple after the Porsche 928 build.
Will try to keep up with the forum but Wi-Fi is really hit and miss when cruising.

Didn't know they made a model of the Ferrari testicleroaster. Like my father-in-law's Plymouth, clutch to take off & stop but shift gears (paddles instead of lever) w/o. Many hard working little cylinders as I recall.

Jep shes a screamer. Flat 12. but redlines at 6750 rpm. which is not that high actually, but with 12 pistons flying around....

Got to be the 58 Corvette.
Quick quiz: How do you spoil an E-type?
Answer: Put a hard roof on it!

Admittedly the convertible E Type was better looking but the FHC is miles better looking than the 2+2 version. The only reason for doing the FHC is because my best mate had a 1963 series 1.5 ( scalloped floor pan but aluminium centre console) in Fern Grey Metallic with red interior.
The Testarossa was a great touring monster, Johannesburg to Durban ( approx. 400 miles ) in 3 hours 48 minutes including 2 fuel stops cruising around 120 mph ....... those were the days.

A little detour on my way back from Solihull today via Widnes Model Centre and had to add these. I didn’t want to pay £55-ish for a 1/48 Il-28 so when I peeked inside the box of the 1/100 version it is surprisingly big(ish).
The Tamiya F4U Corsair falls into my “Rite of Passage” must build kit category.IMG_1436.jpeg
