Thank goodness !
Don’t worry, I’ve not turned into a ship modellerI do, however, own some kits of LCA landing craft, and looking for good information on how to paint them, I found these books second-hand. Probably only the small one is sufficient, really, but I decided to buy the others too purely out of interest. The two issues of FSM (December 1997 and February 1998) were thrown in for free, I discovered when I opened the package.
Well … I can tell immediately from the picture on the cover of Part Two that it wasn’t a Verlinden original … The equipment on the turret has straps that go over stuff instead of the items just hanging somewhere with nothing to attach to, defying gravityHe uses all the old kits and techniques that Francois used.

Yes space is my problem living in a flat Havent even room to do airbrushing. Will settle for doing dioramas for 72nd and find some storage cases if i did 1.35th ones.Still like Mr.Vs stuff tho even with gravity defying bags etc hehe.Well … I can tell immediately from the picture on the cover of Part Two that it wasn’t a Verlinden original … The equipment on the turret has straps that go over stuff instead of the items just hanging somewhere with nothing to attach to, defying gravity
Though it’s something I’ve been thinking of doing myself too: a Verlinden-style diorama, but with modern kits. If only I had the room to put one.
Small is Beautiful......why not try something in 1-87 scale Richard. Plenty of opportunities to scratch build and kitbash, as well as do a complete diorama on an 8X10 picture frame.Yes space is my problem living in a flat Havent even room to do airbrushing. Will settle for doing dioramas for 72nd and find some storage cases if i did 1.35th ones.Still like Mr.Vs stuff tho even with gravity defying bags etc hehe.
Not as beautiful as 1/72 though.....Small is Beautiful......why not try something in 1-87 scale Richard. Plenty of opportunities to scratch build and kitbash, as well as do a complete diorama on an 8X10 picture frame.![]()
SEE Jakko you will come over to the dark side yore alredy finding the ship camo instrestin wont be long before you build a floaty thing like them landin craft s an J/R will be spittin bullets lol :rolling:I’ve just read the small book, and I must admit the camouflage patterns are interesting :smiling3: Chances are I will actually have some use for it, as some indefinite point in the future will probably see me build some ships used in my area in 1944, landing craft as well as Warspite, Roberts and/or Erebus … Also still holding out hopes of sometime building a fully-loaded LCT(4) in either 1:76 or 1:35 :smiling3:
Gosh i think my old eyes would be goggled trying to do 1.87.I struggle with 1.72nd and need Optivisor constantly.Who manufactures stuff in this titchy scale?.Small is Beautiful......why not try something in 1-87 scale Richard.
