Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2023)

My experience is that painting things like eyeballs, irises etc. is more a function of skill, steady hands and fineness of brush tip, than how thin the overall brush is. As a result of two of those three factors, I generally don‘t attempt to paint eyes at all anymore :(

Evening all

Not very exciting but the final of the four storage boxes I ordered to reorganise my paints and modelling supplies! Unusually for Amazon, it took over two weeks to be delivered!

*** that is UK size 9 foot BTW to give the appropriate scale comparison!

1/300 scale figures from Baccus: ancient greeks: Psiloi - Javelins and a command set. Here are some photos off their website which give a better view of the figures:

the plan to build a small diorama depicting a scene from Jason and the Argonauts.

For figures that are 6mm high they are fantastic :thumb2: You need to show them with something recognisable so the lads realise how small they really are…..

Another delivery from the shop today including 3 more tiny trucks. I've built the Takom ones before but I'm hatching a plan and I'm hoping the Zvezda is as good as their 1/35 offerings.

Some paint for current projects and a handle that'll fit 2 of my airbrushes

That handle is great Andy. I have one on one of my airbrushes and it's very comfortable and controllable.
Those big trucks make up into much more reasonable sized models in 1/72.
