IMHO, nostalgia is the only reason to build that kit anymore
The Italeri version was already better when both were new, never mind the current Leopard 1 kits …
Ive still got 8 Italeri a4s and 1a5s in my Leopard stash. They are decent enough for my needs. The Meng a3/4 isnt a ground breaker.Their 2a4 is much better.Might get one if i can next month at Telford Ipms show.Ive seen a guy online offering the Stl files for the Dutch V with the smoke launchers etc.Must get a Revell earlier Leopard as i have Netherlands and Belgian decals in my stash. Its a shame Legends never did a Netherlands conversion with Diehl tracks.Think you can tell im also a Leopard fanatic.IMHO, nostalgia is the only reason to build that kit anymore :smiling3: The Italeri version was already better when both were new, never mind the current Leopard 1 kits …

I made that when I was about ten Dave. Used to be in bright yellow plastic under Airfix …..
Not exactly giant size! Since there isn't any track - I'll have to print a short length!I built it as well, I think it was one of the smallest models I ever built.
Just looked at the Bachmann models - a bit too much for me! The Rocket only cost me just over £10. If I get interested in trains, the Dapol range of ex Kitmaster/Airfix models may satisfy the itch! - Only static models - railtracks take up too much room! This is my every day fare!.......lovely little kit Dave. I have the John Bull and the DeWitt Clinton in HO scale By Bachman.

That AA centaur looks interesting Andrew :smiling4:Good evening all
So a few arrivals this week.
First up this lot. Have repeatedly heard good things about Micro Set and Micro Sol and so thought I would given them a whirl. Also, as I'm building more and larger wingy things, I thought I'd stock up on some satin varnish at the same time! Outstanding service from @john as always. I had ordered the Micro Set and Sol before realising I was low on varnish and he very kindly let me top it up before dispatch!
And then this popped up on eBay for about 20% less than the next cheapest delivered and so I watched it for a couple of days. Then the seller knocked off even more and so for only £12 delivered for something a bit different it would have been rude not to!!

Hells bells Dude 1, that was some haul. Sad though saying good bye to Giuseppe. I wish him a happy retirement.Morning Everyone,
A fantastic weekend at the SMC always leaves you awhole lotbit lighter in the wallet! It was great to see old vendor friends and to meet some new ones too, but sad to see one for the last time...My loot actually fit in one normal plastic bag this time!
So, some needed stuff,
MIG slow dry and 2 needle applicator types. The empty glue bottle is to pour my old MIG slow dry into as the cap is glued on tight and de-bonder and pliers can't get it off. I talked to MIG, at their stand and even Miguel (Mr. MIG) himself, said he has the same problem. Until they work out a solution, the best way to stop this is to wipe away any excess on the nozzle. let the bottle stand for a minute to dry and them screw the cap back on it, according to Miguel. Mini files, a synthetic brush set for acrylics, metal square and brass tubing. The bag of garden hose applicators, the sanding sponge and the pipettes were freebies. I also picked up 2 bottles of Florry washes cheap. One normal wash and one of their new new thick washes (no pic)..................Reference Materials,
Out of print for quite a while and sort of pricey, but worth it. Christian from Belgium had these and he carries the whole Aviattic line of products made in the UK. He has a .com website for the EU, so you can buy them without the hassles of customs, import duties, etc....................Flat stuff,
HGW stuff was a preorder from ASK. Eduard had a big stand and nice discount on their products..........Accessoires,
All these companies were there and offered at least 10% discounts or more, on their products. Now I know you are wondering where are the kits, where are the kits, where are the kits??? I only bought 2. Yea, only 2!!!....................My best buy,
I finally got to meet Lukasz in person after many mails and the decal order earlier. A really nice person and he made me a super deal on the kit, the 2 motors and the turnbuckles (the pic before)!!! Regular €249 and he said, give me €170...Plus I traded the decal sheet with the small hexagons for the larger hexagon decals and he said, just keep the smaller decal sheet too!!! I'm happy and the kit is so finely done with resin, 3D parts, wire, etch and decal sheets!!! I'll post some pics later...........................The other kit +,
For a tenner from Customscale in Berlin. I have the gun kits from Das Werk that he helped out with. Lastly, a few track sets from my Buddy and the new owner. I practically stole these for the price Giuseppe gave me for them and 3 sets for my friend Thorsten, all together. A farewell price I think........................
I have loads of pics from the show to post, but I have to sort out 4 people's worth first. Around 550 pics total and I'll try and keep it to around 150......
Prost

That's ok Jakko I understood, and just had an email today where I was told that the kit I wanted to purchase was not in stock - so why wait a week to email me and tell me, bet it takes longer for the money to be returned. That was my idea too. I’ve been slowly sorting through it to see how many complete sets I actually have, and that’s harder than it looks :smiling3: I have enough to build a complete 105 mm turret, at least, even if that set is missing a few parts for which it had options (it should have two gun mantlets, but I only have one, for example — enough to actually build it, anyway). The M4 upper hull doesn’t seem to be complete, but I do have all kinds of detail bits that will come in handy for various Shermans.
I think you misunderstood what I meant :smiling3: I was mildly complaining about the shop: the Simca showed as available/in stock on their site, but when I ordered it, I was told it wasn’t so they had to back-order it — leaving me to wait almost two weeks for the paint to use on the railway crossing, when I could have had it in two days.
Bob, do not read the Italian ones in the bath, you know how sinkable they are.....Using birthday money off Julie
Now what else to buy with the change lol
Bob
Yep, my expensive, must have, gotta have, will do the job you want, is now sitting on a shelf in the shed. Now back to using fingers to place the grass and turn the base upside down for a minute or two so the grass goes verticle - sounds long-winded but once you get going it takes as much time as messing about with the dispenser.I made one out of a tea strainer and an electronic fly swatter a few years ago Andy. Works OK, but you do need to Earth the base to the unit to get it to work well. The working height isn’t that large either around six inches I seem to remember. I’ve since bought a stronger “flock box” type, and that mostly flocks my arms when I’m using it :tongue-out3:
