Thanks Alan, as I've never heard of it...

Sorry Jakko my bad I wasn’t looking close enough. No, they wouldn’t

Good to see Allen! As I stated in another post, I had to have some retail therapy of late. The first one is the reason I can post on the forum again and post pics of the other goodies,
Laptops aren't as expensive as I thought they would be. I also bought a 5 year warranty to keep it going........The next ones were from a sale at MBK and even though the stash doesn't need any more kits, I couldn't control myself. I got 2 of these,
and one of these (because it was so cute),
The three kits came in at €18.45 each, plus free postage. How could I say no...
Evilbay took a bit of my cash too with this,
A good grab for €24...I must have been bitten by the ChooChooPaulE disease lately. Lastly, another evilbay sweep and again, two kits for a bit over the price of one kit,
For those who know me, you know what these are going to be used for. I'm also following another WnW Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 kit auction. Hope it doesn't go too high in price...
Prost
Allen

Sounds interesting, hope you will do a review Andy and stop using Cohan's foot.Well then, I've been buying too!! :astonished:
Always liked the effect that dry brushing gave to my armour builds, but after seeing a post on YouTube the other day I decided to try and up my game,(seems I was doing it wrong to get excellent results, was using flat brushes),so I bought some of the guy's suggested stuff....
.... A dry pallet, and the round brushes. It's kinda a different ball game to what I was doing, but I'm giving it a go on my current AT-ST build....:tongue-out2:
That’s a new one on me Andy. Never heard of a dry brush pallet before, I just use a scrap of cardboard and some cheap make up brushes on larger builds, and old small brushes and copy paper for the little blokes. Still struggle to get smooth application using acrylics though, so will be interested to see how this works.Well then, I've been buying too!! :astonished:

Their secret sauce (Artis Opus) seems to be dampening the brush very slightly, by dabbing it on a piece of slightly damp sponge. That’s a new one on me Andy. "Foster children!"For me it’s not so much an acquisition today as temporary custody:

The texture pallet is supposed to replicate the hard edges one would normally be trying to catch with dry brushing, so giving a better idea of the effect you'll get before committing to the model. I've seen several people make their own by gluing random parts and bit of old sprue etc to a board.
I wouldn’t normally do this, because I generally like building kits more than painting them, but as I said, the man they’re from has given me plenty of magazines and books over the years. So sure, I’ll return the favour by painting some of his models. Only problem right now is that I wanted to start spraying them half an hour ago, but found I have maybe 3 ml of dark yellow left. The Takom one will be entirely that colour, and the other will be three-colour camouflage, so I doubt the paint I have will be enough. This is a completely new idea in model building.
Bavaria is rather far from Zeeland (tons of NRW licence plates to be seen around here throughout the year, though) and early-/pre-war German vehicles aren’t really my area of interest, else I’d possibly take you up on thatMaybe I should look for someone to build the 1/35 tanks for me - I would then paint them myself... :tears-of-joy:
I didn’t know that was a thing, but I use this:The texture pallet is supposed to replicate the hard edges one would normally be trying to catch with dry brushing, so giving a better idea of the effect you'll get before committing to the model. Really annoying when they do that!!Wifey bought be a surprise present.. Amazon dumped it outside our door, so we were lucky to get it at all but it wasn't in a box or a bag and the front image is ruined by a huge sticker that won't peel off. Way to go guys, would it have killed you to put it in a box?
