I've been to Winchester for a few days to spend time with my newest granddaughter and yesterday I managed to slip off unnoticed into the Warhammer shop, and came away with these.
The names are baffling so I had to get a teenager to help me..... :tongue-out3:

It's rather sad that this is the nearest I have been able to get to an actual model shop in absolute bloody years!
To be fair it was pretty vibrant in there, and although not my thing I enjoyed looking at the models on display, and thank goodness some youngsters are at least interested in a physical pastime rather than virtual (although they probably can do both without even thinking about it)

Just arrived - three head.

I bought the non-copyright files and using nomad sculpt i resized them to 1/10 scale, removed some of the necks and shoulders and joined them as one object, tipping them back so there are no supports on the face. This was a test printing to check i had re-sized them to 1/10 correctly and that the quality of the printing was ok.

the idea is that I will use Nomad sculpt to modify the heads, then get the modified heads printed to be the basis for some busts - hence getting copyright free files. The main sculpting of the busts (torsos, headgear etc will still be putty). This will, i think, be a productive way to learn 3d sculpting, and if I get the hang of it I can perhaps do more of the sculpting on Nomad. The first two changes will be to 'age' one of the male heads, and to alter one to have an open mouth.

With no chat topic open in the Star Wars GB section yet I'll put my entry here, since it arrived today:

My first Bandai kit, and I'm hoping to create a little Endor scene for it to sit in :smiling3:

This arrived a couple of days ago, together with a new compressor.

My lad might be moving out in the near future so I thought I'd better get my own setup.

< £20 delivered :thumb2: An odd thing - American, British & German destroyers in 1/350 OK - Japanese destroyers? They cost twice as much as the others!

Another visit to Aviation Megastore near Schipol airport and another helicopter for the stash. Lots of decal options.
I did look at the Heller 1/48 Jaguar but they only had the gift set version with glue and paint, I only have a cabin bag and the box was a bit big too.

Excellent Rick.
I've been looking at the Russian or should that be Soviet, Hind and a Helix, swaying towards the Helix. (I've sacked the Cobra idea I had). Love the idea of the contra rotating main rotor!!

It sounded interesting so I looked it up and very quickly found this copy for under €14 plus postage from Germany, which I thought was a good deal :)
