Very common in US. Commercials had them populated with cute rodents driving to pop music. Weird stuff, didn't see the attraction.

Couple of recent acquisitions....
A little model haul from Temu, including:
Two small 1/35 resin figure sets.
Two (mini) super glue CA fine applicators.
A set of six sanding sticks various grades.
A set of draughtsman pens.

And from the St Ives (Brampton) Model Show yesterday....
I was just looking for something different, did not really know what, then I saw this and had to have it, don't know why, I just did....Lol!

Plus I got a set of three moss textures, light green, dark green and a sort of yellow beige one too.

I saw this at the show or possibly one very similar, it was at the end of one aisle
Like these more unusual subjects myself, a V2 model caught my eye too.
Even in 1/72 I bet it will be a fair size once its built

useful bits and bobs

I bought a pack of those clips on sticks a few months ago....... They are excellent..... I got a flat bit if wood and drilled holes in it like a cribbage board to stand them in

Does any one still play cribbage? :p

Did you post an on-going build using these? Pretty sure I saw someone had and that’s where I got the idea for them - and the vice ti be honest.

Not in years, used to play during lunch break w/some old Navy guys. They were very sharp & fast thinkers, stole many pegs from me.

IMG_20251011_170941.jpg had some hobbycraft vouchers need using before next week or they would expire

Put them towards these..... Got the Shar since i think it would look good sat next to the GR3 i finished last week...... The Glad cos of one of the schemes in the box but more on that later lol

OK chaps, so some acquisitions from the past couple of weeks...

ACW as usual.

This He-111 was a second hand eBay purchase.
Seller made clear that the paints and reward points were missing but I'm not fussed and besides it was 20%-30% cheaper than new and close to the best second prices @ only £19. And of course I had to get a mask set too.

Picked this next lot up a show last weekend (pics to follow)

After knocking over a bottle of TET for the second time recently (fortunately I didn't lose too much), I decided to get a holder from a company I have used in the past for various bits and pieces.

And next up this.....the club organising the show had a stall selling off member's kits and this caught my eye for only £10. RRP was about £12 at time of release but it's long out of production and so goes for at least that now and often MUCH more.

Finally, a true bargain. Charity tombola at the show.......£2 for 5 tickets and this was my prize!

Nice timing......... The 4wd GB is next month ;)

Been a very long time since i did it but i think theres a known glitch....... Very very very tight fit when the shell goes on the chassis..... Think the twin turbos get in the way..... Might be wrong cos it must be at least 15 years since i did it

Thanks Paul. Warning duly noted!

Not a very exciting purchase but much needed. Replacement head band liners for my Optivisor.
The padded, leather band at the front of the plastic headband gets perished and a bit sticky after time and becomes uncomfortable. Probably sweat on the forehead from the stress of trying to cope with tiny parts :D
Found some replacements on line.

They fit perfectly.

So this replaces a Stuka kit I sold to a friend who was after the Spanish Civil War marking version I had.....so at least this was a stash-neutral purchase....

Very pleased with this purchase...the same friend who had my Stuka acquired this kit recently and I realised that all of my 1/48 Mustang's were Ds......not a single B/C or version....outrageous or what!?!?!?? and so I obviously had to rectify the gap in my stash!!!

I was 'watching' it on eBay and after a couple of days the seller knocked 5% of an already very good price, so new this was 20-25% cheaper than most new prices and only marginally more than the same as the cheapest used sale on eBay!

And finally this another new Tank Museum book.

Like the recent Comet book, initial impressions are very good. Over 200 pages of high quality print and lots of pictures. As well as covering the usual things, it has sections on the innumerable specialist versions, restoring one and even what's involved in owning one....and as a pre-order backer from February I got my name in it and 1/3 off the retail price.

My original one got lost in the post in June and somehow (!?!?!?) I had forgotten about it being dispatched, only remembering last week. To their credit, the Museum sent a replacement one out right away and refunded the postage too.

I think this is 3rd or 4th Tank Museum publication I have backed....
