Splashed the pension on a extra airbrush. Iwata HP TR2, .5 needle and nice large paint cup

My normal Iwata trigger TRN has a .3 needle and struggled to cover the Tirpitz hull, took a good few paint refills plus 3 goes. So this will come in handy for hulls and especially 1/200 beasts

Not as nice as Bob's above, but always fancied trying a Badger Patriot 105.
0.5 needle will be good for priming and varnishing.
Couldn't refuse at a penny under forty quid on Ebay.
In really good nick with a spare nozzle and quick release adapter.

Turned up this morning, from our very own SMS, Thanx John, nice set of figures, really, really detailed, and you can mix and match the arms, heads, weapons, accessories, to make about 30 different figures. I bought these to use on my current WWI Mk1 Tank diorama, but sadly they are just a bit too big (28mm Wargaming figures) which equates to them looking about 8' tall in a 1/72 scale diorama!
I thought they might look ok, but they are just too big, no worries, they are so nice I'll prolly do them in their own little dio anyway.

They are about 1/56 scale Peter. 28mm is the One True Scale to me. Big enough to be detailed and easy to paint well, and small enough to get lots on the table…. If you enjoy doing these, look at Victrix and Perry 28mm figures…they are a cut above WA…..

After an extraordinarily quick delivery from John at the shop, I have a few goodies to play with.

Firstly some stocking up, an extra paint stand, and a mini scenery set that I'll give to my lad.

Next, a new range of paints from Mr Hobby will always grab my attention. Currently very limited (black, white, gloss & matt clears) they are said to be an improvement over previous ranges, so I had to try them out. They are compatible with my existing Mr Color & GX paints, so those won't go to waste.

Nice big bottles too.

This "wash free" airbrush had me intrigued when I first saw it. Seemingly a development of the old external mix technology, the paint never goes inside the airbrush so it should be mess free. It's very much a single action point & squirt device, so won't replace a regular airbrush, but for throwing on blocks of colour, or as I intend, a dedicated primer tool, it should work great as I can have my primers premixed & stored in the bottles, ready to go.

Testing times ahead for me I think...

(I'll get my coat 😁 )

Couple of parcels turned up today...
One from our very own SMS, (Thanx John!) with some new mud paste x 2 types, and a wet look type paste that simulates puddles, etc and some replacement primer....
And then an order from the Bay of Flea..... some 1/72 scale WW1 British troops, ideal for my WWI mk1 Tank Diorama, and a decent selection to choose from too....;)(y)
