I took a wander over to the Debra shop in Cove today after a very nice bacon sandwich at the cafe over the road. My wife got 9 dress patterns for £1 while I scored a 1/144 revell Emirates A380 for £2.50. All complete with two parts loose from the sprues.

A bargain for both of us.

WOW , bargain rick , the A380 can go for anything around £20 on E-bay especially if its the sought after Emirates version (i paid £26 for mine!!) tony

Top buy Ian, this is right up my street , a nice Monogram kit and a p.e fret too! The decals might be ok , try rubbing the bag first with water to see if the print is soluble and comes off , if it does then the marks on the decal sheet will come off when you soak them for application , tony

Hi Tony thanks for that, the fire engine is excellent really impressed with whats in the box, ICM do a figure set of german firemen....next on the list me thinks.

How many uses can you think of for a simple diamond pattern (about 2mm by 1.5mm) piece of plain lace? Engine and intake covers, mesh fencing and camo netting for a start - yeah?

I got a piece fifteen foot long by ten foot wide today - from the waste bin in a charity shop. Didn't cost me a penny!

had some free time this morning so thought id pay a visit in the city, see how close ModelZone is to closing.............good job i did.....4 days left!

going to miss the place, especially their Revell sales once a year

still had quite a lot in at sensible sale prices................i wasnt really looking to buy any kits, already got too many in the stash, i really went looking for paint/weathering stuff/etc but i couldnt pass these up

this is sort of a grail kit for me even tho its readily available, just never got round to buying it!.....ive done the Tamiya Celica rally car, got the Corolla rally car to do and now this.............all three in Castrol scheme

coudnt pass this up for a tenner.......there was an extra 10% off the price on the box.......ive been watching someone light up a DS9 and fancied doing it myself..........got a cheap and easy idea to do it to this one

and i really had to get this!.........ive really been fancying doing something REALLY different.......a single cylinder 4 stroke cutaway engine

i used to work for a certain japanese car manufacturer in the UK...........was once on a training course.........the guy taking the course took us to the engine manufacturing plant and in reception there was a cutaway 4 pot inline......you could spin the crank and see all the valve gear and pistons etc doing what they should.....thing is although he was taking the course he didnt have a clue how an engine worked!!!!........i ended up running thro it for him lol lol........'suck, squeeze, bang, blow'..........he had never heard of that either!
