Great find. I built this one some time ago, I think it's Ex Tamiya (old Tamiya though).

Well here is my latest acquisition given to me from a good friend for my birthday present.....a box of bits!

View attachment 62080

Well i too was puzzled as to the contents as they all came in a blank white box so was not sure what to expect!

To my surprise, and a very nice surprise it was, was that the kit was a complete set of over trees of the new Eduard Spitfire Mk.IXc late version in 1/48 which my mate got a couple of.

The kit does not come with the basic PE set or Decals so they will be on order and after downloading the instructions one cant wait to build this baby! Looking at it the detail is the dogs and just in the basic plastic OOB can make a stunning kit!

A very happy Rich

Nice one Richard. I keep thinking about one, but cant figure out to go for the over trees or go for the kit with the extras in.

Andrew: Yellow plastic again. Remember the sunglasses. lol

I just got this from John:

Along with a few resin goodies for the tamiya 1/32 scale IXc. To convert it to a Mk IXe. I also have a set of decals for a "Hidsigtrold" from the Royal Danish Airforce.

T'is an odd term which I self had problems with at first,. Its an Eduard thing. Over trees are the "leftover" trees, or sprues from a production run. They sell them off as the plastic parts alone. No fancy box. No instructions (can be downloaded though). No decals. No brass or resin bits. It's supposed to be a cheap way to get the good kit with out all the extras. The problem is that you nearly always end up having to buy some form of after market parts.... !

Been after one of these for ages. Built one when I was a child and really want to have a decent go at one now. Got it off evilbay for £12 :)
