Ooh 2 AFV Club T-34s! :) I've got the 85 version awaiting its turn on the bench & the quality is superb! You'll enjoy building them ;)

Ooh  Amodel , brace yourself Joe!! Seriously i quite enjoy the build of these limited run kits

It doesn't actually look too bad Tony, not much flash and nicely moulded. Having said that I haven't seen one built yet so time will tell.

Peter - its a nice kit but the parts need a bit of a clean-up and there is some shrinkage in some parts that provide a challenge for fit.  This is because of Airfix rather cheap plastic that is OK for smaller scales but is more problematic for a model like this with some very tight tolerances.

Enough of the negatives because even with all that it really is an enjoyable build, Much of the fit is superb and the engineering is outstanding.  You will really love the build and with a bit of work it produces a great model with loads of impact.  I suggest getting some metal u/c legs because it is a heavy model and mine did collapse under the weight at one point.  repaired now and it sits behind me in the office on my fridge, a picture of it below.

By the way, there are some great masking sets out there for this kit and the painted on markings look so much better than decals in this scale.

The  masking sets include masks for the roundels, codes and invasion stripes as well as the camo.  I used them all on mine, the Montex sets and hopefully they are still available.

so today i left my job..............got a new one to go to at the end of the month..........i knew the rest of them would take a collection and buy something cos its what always happens but i had no idea what they would get..........my boss even said that i was the most difficult person to buy something for.....(which isnt true cos either a model kit or single malt whiskey does it for me every time lol)..........so i was surprised when they did actually get me a couple of kits!

not what i personally would buy but then to anyone who isnt into models will automatically think of Airfix , will never have heard of Tamiya or Academy or Dragon but they were still much appreciated and will certainly get built

the Minis  caused a few smiles.............better explain......i have always worked in QA or QC jobs......mostly in the automotive industry......where ive just left makes bits for the likes of Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Renault...................and BMW Mini!!!.....specifically the shiny bits that go round the bottom of the screen, on top of doors and round the rear screen.......and they are a pita!!!! lol........told the QA Engineer that looks after BMW if i have any problems he will be getting a Concern Report lol
