And a very nice victim too Ian, i do like the old Phantom and i hope we can see it being built up (hint hint wink wink!).

Have fun, John

I think I can manage that John. Only one problem... I did buy it with the intent to add it to the tiger squadron I am working my way through. Then on the other hand the 56squadron one does look rather nice as well. Also it would look rather nice parked up between the Lightning and Tornado that I recently build in the "then and now" SIGB.

No model but, Haynes Tiger Tank

This has just turned up, i seen the packing i thought it was on the thin side. Had a quick look and it's full of text and lovely photos, i'll not show you the inside because of copyright but if you is into Tiger's it's a good book and if you want to model Bovington's 131 then you need it.

Have fun, John

Tony

Man you like yer 190s don't cha?!!!!

Don't blame you though, got 4 in the stash myself to start!

John - the Haynes manual looks interesting. I've got so many books on the Tiger though I'd find it hard to justify another. I've seen the Haynes manuals on the Spitfire and Me 109 and wondered if I should purchase. I'm guessing that if you're scratch building parts they'd be great ref?

Cheers

Just won this on evilbay. Been after one for a while. It's a Hasegawa mould reboxed by Revell. Ment to be well good :)

Tony (msm2) those tanks were only ever fitted to one experimental aircraft. It was indeed an A-7,werknummer 380394. The experiments were a success but the concept never progressed.

Allyne,if that is the hasegawa kit it is very nice indeed.

Cheers

Hi Al

I'm after a 1/32 Stuka too! but I'd like to get a 'B' version, again for the BoB campaign. I know there's a very old Revell kit and a 21st Century Toys offering but don't know what the quality is like. Anyone built either?

Cheers

Paul

The Revell one really isn't too bad for a 1969 vintage kit,it even has a decent interior. It also has about two million over done rivets. You can live with them or sand them off and start again. I think sanded and rescribed. I did this one a while ago and, despite a root in the loft, can't find it!

I've not done the 21st Century Toy Ju87 but I understand it is similar to their other offerings. I've built their Bf109G. They are a bit sparse and the detail is a bit clunky but they sure look like their subject. You do get crew figures which are superb as are the decals.

Cheers

Steve

Paul. Basically what Steve (Stona) said. Personally i'd go for the 21st Century one unless you can live with the said raised panel lines and over done rivets. I would love a B version too as i want to make a 1/32 BoB group
