After thinking it over, for a while, I have finally decided to hang up the airbrush and start clearing out the workshed to re-purpose it as winter storage and summer open door relaxing.

My health has severely deteriorated this past three years or so and I am just, well, knackered. Hand, joint and muscle pain, breathing issues and now liver problems.

The rusty-crusty Compass Rose model is the last model I will make and a final tribute with it been showcased in Model Boat Mag.

I am keeping my RC tanks, for a while, but all the scenery items made for the club open days are been sold off, just cannot lug them about anymore, the guys in the club are all aged and knackered too and it is hard enough just trying to get the tent up etc.

So, I will drop in from time to time and to all the great mods, builders and of course John, thank you for putting up with me and the kind words on my builds, it has been appreciated over the years.

Take care all.

Si.

I am very sorry that you feel your health issues prevent you from continuing the hobby. Please stay in touch with us all through the forum. I wish you the very best for the future.

All the best Eddie. It’s sad you won’t be building but totally understand the reasons why. Enjoy your re-proposed space and drop by the forum when you can.
Cheers, Paul

Si,
sorry to hear this, ageing is a real pain, when you realise you can't do things that were easy a few years ago. Take it easy, don't be in a hurry to dispose of everything - one day you might have a burning urge to return to the bench...................
Dave

Sorry to hear this Si but your health has to be your priority. Stay safe and look after yourself.

Thank you guys, was not a easy thing to do but, as you have all said, health comes first.

Si, it'll be a shame to see you go but as everyone else has mentioned health comes first, it'll be great to see you around as and when you're about! Take it easy mate :thumb2:

Sorry to hear that your health is not up to scratch Si, take it easy Sir and enjoy life.

So sorry to see you go Si, but all the best. Really enjoyed watching you build. Best wishes.

Sorry to learn this Si. I hope that you drop by and keep joining in once in a while.
A pity when our health dictates our pass times. It's one thing not being able to work but not being able to play sucks.

Sad news alright Si but all the best and drop by as often as you can.

Cheers,
Wabble

Happy trails Si, I'll look forward to hearing from you when you pop in from time to time.
All the Best. :thumb2:

Take it easy Si, and please drop in from time to time..

Thank you fellas, appreciate it. It was a hard decision to make but I am dropping more, making more mistakes, not happy and then in pain etc.

I will be keeping my RC tanks and running them from time to time but, no more building stuff...famous last words probably.
