Lee Drennen’s 1/48 Monogram 1968 Mark IX Spitfire Defender of Britain

Wow I can’t believe it been over a year since I touched this build I thought it was late last fall time seems to fly by anymore. I thought I would maybe get this Spitfire out of the way before I start on my Peteraix GB. Today I worked on the cockpit and Hand Painted the whole Model. I’m going to let this cure up a few days then try the Camo by Hand also a little nervous about it never done any Camo by Hand. 
Before calling it a night I realize I painted the seat the wrong color so I went back and fixed that but before that the paint was dry so I just had to try the Camo. I think I came pretty close to the Aircraft I intend to build. It was pretty scary free handing the Camo but after awhile it became kinda fun. The Aircraft I’ll be doing is Sgt. Tadeusz Schiele October 1941.

Well this keeps reappearing and good that it does. It's looking very nice indeed. Brush painting certainly works. You've done a fine job and, as always on planes, the decals will bring it to life.

Chris thanks for stopping by and the complement. I don’t know what was wrong with me I just kept thinking it was out of scale and things wasn’t going well with it. I’m glad I kept it.
Tim. Thanks for the complement I was worried about that Camo. This it the first time I’ve ever done a Camouflage pattern and Hand painted it.
Thanks Pete. I think that was the problem the first go at this I was in a hurry and got overwhelmed. I wish I took some pics of me Hand Painting the Tamiya Dark Green be I didn’t want to lose my concentration on the Patterns. I was a little disappointed when I opened the bottle of Tamiya paint it was less than half full seems the others I have are the same I remember they used to be over half full. Thanks for stopping by.
Added the Aftermarket Landing Gear sides and main Kit Landing Gear last night. Hope to get a little more done tonight. 
Tonight I hand painted the bottom of the Aircraft. Next is to add the wheels, decals and some little bits and this will be done
