I really am glad to hear that people still keep Bees.......One of the most interesting insects on the planet, and as far as I know the only insects that produce a consumer commodity. :thumb2: Rick H
There's several in this area, from those that have a single hive, up to a chap who's got somewhere about 300I’m with Rick. Not much of Bee Keepers anymore nothing like fresh Honey just like fresh Eggs and Milk.
Thanks. When I was a kid they used to do the same here to Their crops but now with all the technology and herbicide crap they put in the ground they don’t do it more what a shame.Nice to see your new chicks Lee!
There are some bee hives on the edges of fields near where I live, people are keeping them to pollinate crops, bees are more important to us than we realise. They seem to be under threat for reasons that we don't fully understand yet.
Old way still the best wayI live in the middle of Montana Flathead Cherry country.......every spring just before the trees bloom, a huge flatbed truck will show up loaded down with hives. Most of the orchards around me have platforms in the middle of them and a hive is placed on each one until the bloom is over......we are still doing it the "old" way cause it works. Rick H.

You too Rick.Have a Happy and "Blessed" Easter my friend. :thumb2: Rick H.
