I totally agree Tim.What always captivates me is the sheer genius of creativity on display. I couldn’t come up with anything close to most of those ideas if my life depended on it!
Thank you DaveThanks Richard the reward was more than well deserved Dave
You're most welcome Tim, well they had 4 years to prepare and think over.Absolutely outstanding stuff Richard. Just breathtaking. The standard of modelling is exceptional, but that’s almost to be expected. What always captivates me is the sheer genius of creativity on display. I couldn’t come up with anything close to most of those ideas if my life depended on it!
Many thanks for posting these.
Thank you kindly SteveAbsolutely superb - and your richly-deserved award to boot! Well done mate!
Steve
You're welcome Paul. The one with the green background was freehand painted...crazy.This is smashing stuff - I salute your dedication to recording it all to share with us. Some of those figures are simply incredible - the freehand decoration on some is mindblowing!
You're welcome too Ian. The entry idea has to be original, captivating and the story compelling. Took them all day and night to finalise results.Thank you for sharing the experience Richard.
Well Done. I think it took some doing to get a gong in that show. The judges had their work cut out!
Thank you and you're welcome JohnCongratulations Richard and thank you for the photo's.
John.
Thanks Andy. I had to choose some displays to focus and absorb what was before my eyes and missed out others that were equally good. Such was the quantity of talent around me from as far as Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore. It's taken me a while to go through all of those pictures and wow, there's some excellent work on display. And like Tim, the imagination & creativity shown impresses me as much as the finished product.
Very well done on receiving an award against such stiff competition!
Yes Jim, I feel fortunate to have attended and what an experience it was. The loudest biggest applause and cheers were given to a first time junior category bronze winner...very emotional when she cried on stage. There's a picture of her in the registration queue squatting cradling her creation...worth the wait.WOW!! Being able to attend a show like that must be an incredible experience. So many wonderful models to enjoy.
I totally agree Tim.
Congratulations on an award richly deserved.
Thank you Andrea, nail bitingly close.Great show and a nice load of pictures, Richard. Thank you for sharing.
Congrats for your award, is absolutely well deserved... and the competition was really hard considering the incredible standard of models and dioramas.
Thanks Scottie, I'm a mortal too, got lucky I guess.Richard your award was very well deserved. Your imagination and skills are clear and sets the standards for us mortals to aspire to. And many thanks for sharing the pictures.
Nothing lucky about it. Great idea and excellent execution were what got you the gong. Thanks Scottie, I'm a mortal too, got lucky I guess.

No problem Garry and thanks. What a wonderful show, and for you to win a prize is testament to your amazing skills, well done.
Thank you for taking the time to post all those photos.
Thank you Rick and you're welcome.Nice pics. Richard and what a show! I am so glad to copped an award as I thought your attention to detail....particularly the vegetation and water aspects of your dio. were top notch in their own right, not to mention the rest of the build. Again, congratulations and thanks for sharing all the wonderful pics. of the event. :thumb2:
Thanks Tim, there were so many other great builds that I count myself fortunate to have caught the judges eyes, am already thinking of the entry for next year.Nothing lucky about it. Great idea and excellent execution were what got you the gong.
Yes Mick, as mentioned the standard had risen in the last 4 years. Thanks.Great pictures of some brilliant models and figures, congrats on the award in the face of such stiff competition
No you haven't missed it Neil, I just haven't the time to photograph it with a suitable background. I need a large white backdrop so that it can be easily edited for our clubs next 3rd newsletter. I should share the past two editions as they look very professionally done. It's all been said but I must add my congratulations to you on a
well-deserved result in what is clearly an extremely high class field!
Now it's all over can we see a finished thread with pictures from all angles please?
Or is there one and I have missed it?
